No,it does happen all the time,it can happen with any two weapons.
I find that it happens to me alot when i am snipering,even more so over long rang as it can take a while for the bullet to reach its target.
Its always funny for me when two snipers take each other out over a long dist coz you normaly think ''yes i got him'' and just then bang or dead too.

would this mean the bullets travel relatively slow? because the guy thats about to get killed must shoot off the last fatal shot before the bullet hits..

happens all the time, especially with slower weapons, eryx/nade launcher, but it is especially funny when you witness it third person, to guys 5 feet away from each other shooting and they both go flying backwards at the same time killing each other, i always lol when i see it.

This happens to me too on occasion. Generally against a sniper although the other night, a guy knifed me and as he was doing so I killed him with an RPK. Now how does that one work?!
