I'm not impressed. You can't aim.. and you die more than you kill.

PLUS you have almost 600 hours as an ENGI... and only 1300 repairs... saaad. Plus almost 400 hours more play time than me.

      Don't be smug yourself....

Ah...what you fail to note are the command hours, for one. Also, the time using armor, and that (if you insist) set of stats. Also, the stats that interest you smack of self-interested stat gathering, rather than self-sacrifice for the team win. Whatta hero you are. I suppose you consider yourself to be impressive. Should we all bow to your superiority, your highness?

However you try to get the medal, it still takes a long time.
I mean without stat padding that is.

            Re: meritorious medal?

i myself have 33 hours as engineer and 233 repair points to date. these are from anything and everything, commander assets, vehicles the lot.
to who asked about repair time- it depends on how damaged the asset is. if 2 C4's were used, then it will repair pretty quickly. but i know of some people that will put 4, maybe 5 on say the UAV trailer, casue its so handy. the more C4 used to blow it, generally the longer it takes.
on an asset that was blown with 5 C4's you'll be there a while. i received 3 repair points from repairing one asset to full before.

To OP. if you want em relatively quickly download the Highway Tampa map, get in a tank as Engineer and stick with the other tanks. this will earn you a few while you are fighting.
or play as commander on a map, and hope that there is a Spec-Ops guy on other team who keeps coming to blow assets. you'll be repairing all round, so you'll get a few.

              Re: meritorious medal?

You don't get repair points as a commander. I always command as an engineer to repair the assets, leaving supply crates for where they're needed. You also don't always get repair points for in-vehicle repairs, keeping a group of armor repaired as it convoy's forward. There are no repair points for repairing unoccupied vehicles either, or for ground emplacements.

Personally I find it gargantuanly difficult to get more than four repair points a round. Having gotten the expert badge in this was a total surprise to me, getting that many repairs in one round is next to impossible. But, I do my job. It's also hell on the k/d ratio, for those who live and die by that stat - which I don't. It's hard to defend yourself holding a wrench. I guess the AT mines make up for that, but you have to keep replacing them each time you're killed, and if you resupply and set five more, the first five disappear.

I found, and I could be wrong, the second time the assets are blown requires the very long repair time. The first time, you can pull up next to them in a vehicle and they pop back up. After that you have to crank and crank and crank.

You also have two guns that are pretty good, the MP7 and the rapid fire shotty, however, they're close range weapons. The MP7 has some range, but it takes a lot of rounds to do damage, and you give away your position if you try taking out targets at some distance. Engineers, oh and alas, are forced to show up in a stats race by using ARMOR. Neat stuff, driving a tank. It may seem easy to some. But, then, that some must have some experience under their belts. Not hitting trees and rocks, losing the tank in the swimming pool or over a cliff. Having the patience to pick up the tank and drive it all the way across the map to a point of contact...takes time. But, it's useful. Then there's driving a tank into the middle of a hot zone so the AT people will give away their positions firing at you. Your teammates pick up a lot of kills that way, but you get blowed up. It depends on how you look at it. The stats don't accurately reflect the effectiveness...but then, anyone who knew what they were talking about doesn't have to be told this.

ok, if i understang you right, you get points for repairing commander toys, and any occupied vehicle, rest is just non pointer's???

the second time the assets are blown requires the very long repair time.
I never payed much attention to the 2nd time, but i do when someone blows the krap outta something to where its down to dust, seems like that takes the longest, when i demo i usually put 2 c4's on each arty, 3 on uav, 2 on radar, that way it pops it down to rubble, much harder to repair

True, i die alot, alot of times being a medic, or sometimes i go to a room with a few in it to practice flying & bombing & there's allways some General or somebody that played for yrs knockin me outta the sky alot of times while im in the hanger, grrrr, LOL its just a game. if stats is really that important, then when someone gets killed first time IAR they oughta quit cause thats way it goes in real life, no respawn.

Not the 10 in a round, the whoring a vodnik. LOLZ

Normally, whoring only involves vehicles other people actually want.

the longer it takes to repair the more points you will get. Even the slight repair of a AA placement, buggie, tank or hell even standing on the run way as a plane flys over and holding your wrench out will get repair time. Expert is hard to get but the idea isn't behind getting a Badge its about playing the game and winning the round with your team. Just play to have fun I say..forget about the stats.

wrong. yes you do get repair points as commander, i got my veteran repair badge as commander on ghost town:) it just looks like you dont get them because the message doesn't pop up. if you check the end of round screen that shows who did best with each kit, it shows there. (providing you got the most repair points )
you don't get repair points for repairing 2 bars of a tank whilst in another one. it works on a repair meter. (maybe this would be a good addition). you get a repair point for repairing 100% of anything. vehicles, commander assets, stationary defences all combined. say theres 20 bars on 'health' that make the 100%. if you repair 15 on one vehicle, then do 5 on a commander asset later that round you will get 1 repair point.
your right about unocuppied objects though= no repair points.
there is a very easy way to gain repair points involving transport if your that desperate but im not saying how as it has been mentioned in other threads so many times, and i also personally think it is a lame arse way of getting them

You do get team points as commander, they just don't show up on the scoreboard. I was commanding on an IO server one time and capturing flags, at the end of the round I had most points for flag captures, but 0 team points during game.

No one said anything about bowing to me. I'm just putting you into your noob place.

I see the time you use in armor... 50% MORE time than me... but TWICE the deaths and 50% LESS kills.... great job. In armor, you should be whoring it up. Even my ratio's not impressive, but yours is pathetic.

If you really want to look at team interests and team wins... my win loss ratio is twice yours. Who's winning rounds for our team? You team loses more than half the time. Great job commanding. But I'll give you a pass because you can't always help being on a crappy team. But a few good players can easily own a map and turn games around. You're not that player.

As for the command time... almost twice as much as me. Like I said, if you're commanding and your team is losing more than half the time. You suck. Also, if you're playing engineer as a commander and dropping only supply boxes on assets... you're a terrible commander. You should be dropping the boxes on teammates and tanks. As an engineer commander... you should be wrench the hell out of those assets, not dropping boxes on them.

You do get repair points for repairing your assets and occupied vehicles as a commander... but only if you use a wrench.

lol, i only have 55 repair points :p

but there's a trick for it, you need two persons, the one gets in a jeep and drives it into the water until the bar is almost red and then the engineer start using his wrench, but the car has to stay in the water, the engineer keeps getting repair points and the guy in the car gets driver points :p
