Funny ....I was just looking at that. I have been working on getting 'driver ability' points, which is 5000 and I still need 665 or so. I was thinking that the driver ability points are way easier to get than the Repair points. Flying a good gunner around in a helo readily nets those points, but following a tank around, and dying alot is a tough way to go to get repair points. I am willing to bet, that repair points are probably the most padded points in BF2, other than the obvious kill-revive-kill-revive 'any old points will do' stat padding. Which is why for about six months, my repair points have not moved.

I just like to play not for stats, but the stats are nice, im going for my unlocks, then maybe i will try for certain medals.

The task is simple.. you need repair points. Best thing I can say is hunker down and defend a main... use mines to cover a flag and just sit in a hiding spot. If someone comes along and blows up the commander stuff, fix it don't run by it!!
This goes for doing anything really..if your a medic and you see the stuff get blown up and you die shortly after spawn back in eng and FIX IT!! The game is about gameplay and teamplay but doing this can bump those points up perhaps a few each round but hey they add up plus your doing your commander a favor and the team!

I personally have a harder time getting driver points than repair points.

Tell me something, when i repair like say the UAV trailer, seems like it takes forever to get the repair bar all the way over, i've tried different things like moving around it, does this help? or is it just slow go, seems like 5 mins to me to get something repaird from completely destroyed.

I'm sure the commander wouldn't mind that at all.
But how many times does it happen?
If i am the commander im usually eng just in case.
