How to properly define real skill in BF2?
I have a passion. And that passion is BattleField 2.
BattleField 2 is game to study. BF2 is my religion and god.
BF2 is not just a game, even though it's just a game.
Many kits, vehicles and maps to choose from in this great game.
Ranks and points are a ****, because it makes people only care about their own points and ranks. If u don't bother about ure points, and fully play the game you'll see that you can enjoy it 100%. After all it's just a video game. If you get depressions in real life because of BF2, then switch your computer OFF and get a REAL life. There is just one thing that can be said to those that play BF2 10 hours every day, and that are not enjoying even 5 minutes during that time... IDIOTS, cause they ONLY care about their: points, points, points. These points are virtual, you won't be a better person in real life just because you have more points in BF2 than everyone else in the world.
Statspadding and glitching/hacking isn't that bad, compared to all the other stupid "bugs" in the game itself. What about the bloody claymore/grenade/C4 abuse, spawn camping, raping, artillery.... It's all **** for the victim and hilarious for the one doing it. But think about it again, isn't a game supposed to be fun after all? Well ALL of US ALWAYS laugh at others when we annoy them...
It is a part of human nature to ENJOY irritating/pissing others. Why complain, it's just a video game after all. What about claymore whoring? It can't be assumed that wallglitching is worse than "claywhoring".
You have more than BF2 3nnn servers to choose from, and if you let yourself getting kidnapped ure stupid, cause the solution is very simple:
1.- Disconnect from server.
2.- Login with another BF2-ID (if you dont care about points, why not have unlimited ID's?)
3.- Find another server
4.- Problem solved in less then 1 minute!
It is not the players fault that glitching is done. Those developers making the game engine, didn't do a proper job as long as these glitches are possible in the game. There will always be criminals in real life situations despite any given number of security measures. But arresting criminals in a virtual world? C'mon don't make me laugh. Rules, rules, rules... Why do we play a game? To forget rules in real life, and have some fun? Well where did all the fun go as long as you have to follow rules?
If you don't like the rules, just join another server. There are servers that suits anyones needs.
n00bs are what they are because they maybe didnt find a good clan yet. There are several aspects in the game itself: 1 guy is good with AK101 and the other with the APC. In short words you have many possibilites in the game.
This game ought to be studied, because it can be studied for countless hours. So many aspects and tactics to discover.
Some tactics are REAL simple and even IDIOTS should know about them even though it seems they don't, like for example avoiding exposure in terrain. Use walls as camouflage, listen to noises, confuse the counterpart. Why? Cause you are playing againts other human beings, think like a human being in a real war situation, cause ure playing against real humans in a real war environment. Be patient, try different weapons, learn from ure mistakes, adjust ure gaming style, test everything there is to test in the game and don't always just run and press mouse button 1 (which is what one might get the impression of when watching n00bs).
Get to know some people that have experience in the game, and learn some tricks from them. Use TS, thus communication will be faster and more efficient: BLIETZKRIEG tactics from the germans during WWII prove to be highly effective -
1.- Confuse
2.- Storm (fast attack)
3.- Big squad.
Maybe some cocaine, and coffee. Faster reaction time, but that applies to Counter Strike, not BF2. Well BF2 as well, but depends cause of the hitbox effects and "blurpy prone stand ups". In the first place dont prone, just "sit as if on toilet", cause then u can stand up much faster.
KDR is another piece of **** in BF2. U can have the most boring gaming experience in BF2 imaginable, and the best KDR in the world. Get some friends, start the server and statspad. WOW that guy is skilled man, he has a KDR of 15/1 with the F2000...
Thus KDR can be MISLEADING INFORMATION. A squad full of medics, well yeah of course ure KDR will be very attractive, but in this case its not SKILL HOLDING A SPECIFIC GUN and shooting/aiming in a specific way...
You can be skilled with a particular gun, kit, map, vehicle, standard voice communication, teamwork, prioritizing correctly, timing, and the list goes on. There are many things you an be skilled at in this game (it's not only skill shooting with a gun that counts, the ability to use TS as an advantage and proper teamwork in a squad counts as well)
The whole point with ranks, is that if you see a "4 star general" you should be able to assume the guy has a "veteran pilot badge", thus you let him fly the bloody helicopter. But even though, thanks to statspadding and all the cheating possibilites even this info might be misleading, thus it results in that even this info can be misleading. So once again ranks are useless and pointless.
There is absolute no reason to be proud if you have a "4 star general" status in BF2, and ure ****ing wife divorced u and if u lost ure work because u played 4000 hours in BF2 to get that bloody rank. If I see a colonel I assume he has a certain number of hours using this and that vehicle, therefore he has a certain amount of experience. But again it can be frustrating, if the colonel simply cheated on his hours with the bomber, and crashes every minute while he flies the bomber. Which proves his experience level with the bomber is not what it seems cause of the stupid fantastic high rank that proved to be fake after all. His flying in the bomber proved he is not capable of handling the bomber after all...
So in short words ranks and points and KDR COULD HAVE BEEN A FANTASTIC THING IN BF2, of course it would have some disadvantages, but currently with all the corruption in the BF2 community it's POINTLESS. Ranks and points destroy lifes of people, imagine how ure sight and wife would be after 5000 hours in a stretch in JALALALALALALABAD....
So BF2 is NOT just a game, but it's just a ****ing game after all. Just have fun... Where did all the fun go?
