EA still has the stats threads on their site....they have just locked them so we can't post on them anymore!!! Makes you wonder.

Personally my last battle day was June 6th, and I have played a lot since then...especially on Father's Day when I could crank in a lot of hours without catching too much flak....lol

EA is just doing what they always do.
People get a problem with BF2, like the stats or whatever, EA freaks out and "trys" to fix the problem, THEN they try and hide the fact that they don't know what they are doing, then about maybe a week or so later, the problem is fixed and EA never says anything about it ever again.
Problems with the stats have happened before, but this time, they just scarwed everyone for almost a week now and going on.

Moderators there have given the reason that there are other stats related thread that has information and even responses from EA/DICE. It's no different here in TotalBF2: Admins will most likely lock these threads too if they are prevalent and nothing much more than "I WANT STATS! WHERE ARE MY STATS! STATS NOT UPDATING! SCREW YOU EA/DICE." In the EA UK forums, there is already a stickied topic about this that is not locked: http://forum.eagames.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=36624

And yet people still continue to create threads about this.

If TotalBF2 admins did the same thing, as in locking or deleting threads, even stickies, and they have done that in the past, you would've had no problems with it as you can clearly see the reason, not be under the illusion of "Big Brother trying to hide information or limit freedom of speech."

Furthermore, what would additional user responses do to help the situation? ESPECIALLY if these responses are more of the same? These people should've scanned or searched the threads that already was on this issue. This is hardly censorship committed by the "big fact evil EA" but more of cleaning up and focusing communication to one thread.

Edit: Hell, it's happening right now in TotalBF2, threads related to these problems are being locked - what do you have to say about this?

This isn't a big plan, coverup, or scam EA is pulling. A problem just hit them and they're working fast to fix it.

I guarantee that if BF2 was a monthly subscription game, this would have been fixed within an hour.

probably, or they'd at least give the customers a few extra days playing time before they cancel their accounts.

Well I guess getting rid of the stats system isnt such a bad thing when it happens, if it hasnt already. It would be nice to get a notice in advance, though. Im not complaining Im just posting what I think. I have already printed a copy of my stats because thats all I really expected to get after all the time and effort I put in to geting them. I will probably put them in with the BF2 CD and in time they will collect dust on a shelf somewhere in my home, if I ever quit playing. Sigh.

In the mean time I really believe EA or whoever will get the stats up and going again. They just about have to. If they dont it will have an effect(sp) on future sales and thier stock price. I used to own stock in EA and since have dumped it for a better preforming stock, the price was going down. I think that buying a product that doesnt work just right or as advertised is a bad thing. About the only thing worse would be buying more products from the same company. I would guess that Im not the only one who feels that way. Oh well. . . . . . . . . . . . . .Red

Especially, since they made the problem and are not trying to solve it. This will be remembered as STATSGATE. The infamous bug that brought about the end of stats, and EA/DICE could never fix.

Maybe thats why they made the game so buggy. So, when stats became too costly for them to keep up, they could just say a bug brought it down and they can't fix it.

2142 is not having problems right?
