Overall, this probably one of the best top 5 games I've played in 10 years of gaming. 600 hours of play so far, great community, multiple modifications if bored, recognition for achievements, and freedom of gameplay make Battlefield 2 a game for me that can last two years and most likely more.

Lowpoint was indeed the 1.30 version days when servers would crash, at least our clan server, frequently.

Highpoint was when I was able to fly the aircrafts effectively.

Happy Birthday BF2, feels only six months ago when this game was released.
Yeah, I too reinstalled Battlefield 2 multiple times that its CD-Key is familiar to me.

Ditto. Building a new, cheap system (x1950xt though) and seeing how BF2 was supposed to look all that time, with ALL the eyecandy and ZERO client-side laggies.

Hapster Brifdeigh BF2!!! I'm going to have to play a round or two for old times' sake tonight. Thinking some Op Road Rage action, maybe tour the action in a wee bird (i still can't hit anything from the air, lol).

Low point: that time when they never corrected the hit detection glitches. Which is pretty much all the time. Hit detection was perfect in BF Vietnam. It can be done!
High point: when I finally mastered jets.

Only 2??? It seems alot longer, and i diddnt get it when it came out. I still remember reading about it in PC gamer though.....ahhhh nostalga!

ah man bf2,no game has or probably ever will had me so addicted,this game was such a blast,i might even install it on my old comp with my 5500 fx just so i can play.

highs:LOTS of fun,stats give you somethign to aim for,blowing up some guy with a tv missle who a second before had stared at em and my friend in the cobra,playing 21cw GOOD FUN.

lows:1.3,crapppy support

Also, has anyone else questioned why the stat system is suddenly having problems on the eve of BF2's 2-year anniversary? Almost like it was never designed to last more than 2 years, and now EA is trying to "fix" yet another bug. Call it the YBF2K Bug. :laugh:

WOW - 2 years already??

Nurfing the noob tube upset me greatly. I used to rank 69 in the wrold once upon a time.

Last march I join 21CW (http://www.21stcenturywarfare.com) which has give new life into the game in ways I never expected. Now I rarely go on 'pubbie' servers. I just play in the torry with the 21CW mod, which is miles better.

Ive clocked up 1,800 hours of BF2. Over the last year Ive been at 21Cw, which dont rank hours. But Im guessing Ive must of playing at least another 1,000.

Thats alot of time. No other game has never came close. This game is amazing to keep me intrested for so long.

I remember getting 1942 for Christmas 5 years ago and then buying this game but it is truely an awesome game and I have no idea how I can still play it over and over again without getting bored.

i can't think of any overwelming low point... high points plenty.... once the major mods get out (finally) it will be even better!!
