What's wrong with Surge?

Surge is one of my favorite SF maps, it has open ground for vehicle battles, and allows for close infantry combat around the launch pad and mission control building. But even maps like Night Flight, Devil's Perch and Leviathon usually have more servers running them than surge. Why is this such an unpopular map?

One of the =SF= servers run Mass Destruction, Ghost Town, and Surge all the time. That's awseome because Spetsnaz maps are the best.

I love it because i love playing as the rebels and having an acctual RPG and the skins are just awesome. I love being AT on that map as a rebel and doing ambushes

Yea, it's got quiet since the fall of the stats. The RPG is awseome, oh yea.

Had a few more great rounds on that server last night. I did some of my best sniping ever and I also shot down a few rampaging Choppers with an RPG on Surge.

and i though i was the only one who like to ambush.

i cant remember what cp it was but it was on the end of a bridge.

i had set up c4 all over it.
3 tanks start to rollacross.
bomb bridge went down and so did the tanks

it's a good map, but i just can't get into it. i think my problem with it is that it is too big. i'll give it another chance though.

I love Surge. It's one of my favorite maps on Special Forces.

Surge is the ****. Its the "kubra dam" of SF maps for me. With its missile launch pad and cranes it makes for a kick *** looking map.

i just dont know what kit to play on it, thats my only trouble

like i'll go medic just to get destroyed by armour
i'll then go AT just to get butt rushed by a load of medics / support

though i've done alright with spec-ops, as theres some nifty places to hide C4 near flags etc
