i have never been able to kill pilots with PKM and I use the PKM alot mang

I just tested it with a souped up M4 against a bot, and bullets pierce very easily.

Depends on either the damage, or the projectile velocity, or maybe even splash damage. Not too sure, but it shows that anything can penetrate.

I didn't notice many small arms in your list. (gasp!) Of COURSE since they dummied down the chopper armor you can pentrate it with any vehicle mounted machine gun. If a chopper's down to two bars, you can down it with a pistol.

I shot down an A-10 Warthog with my T-98 main gun on Roadrage. Nyah! One shot.

I dont think the PKM can even if it could its aim would suck to much to get enough bullets in unless youw ere able to get right up next to them somehow.

The PKM actually shoots down the chopper. Sometimes, often times, you'll easily shoot the gunner down. He'll fly out of the thing and fall brilliantly to the ground. The ONLY time I've shot a pilot, and I've shot several, is with the M95. I've tried with the next unlock up, and with every possible small arm I've had in my possession, but the ONLY time I successfully offed the pilot is with that gun - M95. As I recall, and I've stopped attempting this for several reasons (one of which is chopper pilots don't seem to want to sit still anymore), It's taken one shot once, and the rest took two. These days, I'll grab a vehicle mounted machine gun, preferrably with a 360 degree turret, and shoot the thing down. They cause too much damage to play with.

Today, on gulf, my cobra got Tv'ed by the havoc. My gunner was killed. Me and the chopper survived.

They should make the PKM able to shoot through it with as much ease as the M95

The Little bird can shoot throught the cockpit glass and kill the pilot.
The Anti-tank rocket can do so as well

well we all know that AT weapons blow through glass i do that alot.

Teammate put some C4 in my Black Hawk cockpit glass... I was killed but the chopper survived.. :evil:

We all (I hope) know that the m95 can penetrate glass. However, after playing my share of Battlefield 2 I have noticed several other weapons penetrate glass without destroying the cockpit.

Have you guys ever penetrated glass with any gun other than the m95?
Do you think this is a glitch or was put in on purpose?
Why do other guns not show as glass penetrating?

I just tryed this in single player, The only weapons that could hurt the pilot/gunner was explosive stuff. M249 and Jeep 50 cal would kill the pilot.
