EA you had best sort out yer sh** guys . If that reflects the end of this poll then you guys are going to loose a shed load of servers/Income .

It's all their fault anyway.
They rushed the game, they didn't work out all the bugs, and they didn't help or listen to the people who bought the game.
In the end, EA will lose out on it's servers sales and I HOPE they go bank rob!
Most likely, they will not, because of all the damn madden fans!

Let us not forget we are talking about EA GAMES, they're just as bad activision and infinity ward, they definently aren't known as good developers like Tripwire.

Cut to the point - They've got your money, they ironically released a great game (Battlefield 2 / Special Forces) and it looks like they're fixing the problem soon, so cut them some slack or they can cut the support.

Stats are a two edged sword for me.

One edge is mildly satisfied to hear that creaky voice going ' You have been awarded a medal'. As I never got none in school.

The other edge screams 'Oh man! My KDR's ***!

But a salient point is - no stats = no stat padders.

Leaving the game to the gamers.

how do stat padders bother you? they do not get in the way of anyone or anything in bf2, so just leave those sad sacks alone.

i would cut down on hours. Yea its hell of a fun game, but its nice to have some stats to look at.

The only time I play to get points is when I want a new gun. If they still allowed weapon unlocks I would play just the same.

Besides cutting down hours I will either:

1: play the game as it was supposed to (teamwork/winning the round)
or
2: Messing around, knifing, paddling, blowing ppl up not caring about teh winning of the round.

I guess a lot of players will choose possibility 2 which would be the end of BF2.
"Serious" players will move to BF2142 or play BF2 mods.
Personally I will play a lot of mods. That's what I did when I lost interest in BF1942 and Vietnam.
I will not move to BF2142 (at least that's what I feel now).
Maybe I can get a new more powerful system some day to play quake wars or crysis...

Eventually I will stop playing completely...damn stat system ruining my whole life just by stopping to work, lol.

I'll stop playing. The game is fun, but half of the fun is from tracking what you've done and winning awards for your achievements.

And I'm getting sick of all the "I don't care about stats, I art holier than thou" types posting in the threads.

That has been there for the past 2 years, but if it makes you feel better to attack me then so be....

My answer is still the same..plus ea wouldn't care if ppl played or not, they have had their cash, they still get it from bf2142 and other games, if they cared the would do something...someone said the longer you play the less interested you might be in stats, he's proobably right tbh...

I would play more...but I wouldn't be playing vanilla, probably Project Reality or one of the dozens other good mods out there...definatly wouldn't be playing vanilla though. Personally I would like to see the stats die then we can get more people on the mods and have larger games every day, stats are killing mods along with vanilla's unfriendly engine but moreso stats.

eh. Id still play as normal. I dont check my stats often, but every now and then I like to have a look. Definately don't play just for them though.
