Battlefield 2 as it should have been...can we do it?

People are always posting "OMG LOOK AT WAS BF2 WAS GONAN BE"
we all see the different maps, weapon sounds, gadgets and i think different weapons.

Have their been any attempts to accquire info as to what bf2 would have been from EA and use it to make a mod that makes bf2 EXACTLY as it would have been?

If not lets do it.

Honestly it was not going to be hugely different, just EA/DICE cut a **** load of corners, the explosions look awesome in that tho.

i've seen the vid before but there are some good and bad things in it.

think the guns looked a bit different (correct if wrong)

both teams colours looked sorta the same.
1 hit kill on the tanks, from both tank shells and Eryx.

Looks like they were gonna' have Laser Designaters or w/e they are.

really, you guys would want all this crap in battlefield 2? But really think about it, a blackhawk with rockets. Ever played Dcon? Its cool at first, but it wouldn't make the game sooo much better. I bet if bf2 was like that and u saw a video of what bf2 is like now, you'd want it to be like the latter.

You guys just want what you don't have. Then once you have it, you'd be like "meh."

The MEC look more like terrorist in that video to me....

Desert Conflict is awesome, the weapons are made exactly how they should be for skill - laser accurate but bitchy, though controllable recoil, and air vs ground is actually balanced (shock, horror).

The only thing is those bloody dumb fire missiles somewhat take away from "modern combat".

i know its cool, and i would actually rather have them. But the thing is, if they were added, they would get old in 2 days, and people wouldn't really care anymore. The thought of these things are actually cool, but once you get them, they're just plain old content.

You all need to download Project Reality, it's what BF2 should have been from the get go.

However, morons woulda wrecked it so...... yeah.

Why make a new mod when there are 5 or so out now doing everything you have asked for(with modding capabilities)
