so....if EA or whomever controls stats updating dont fix it, say by by to all the ranked servers. One would think those companies would be yelling to geet it fixed. What i mean is the company running/selline/renting rank servers

Well, whatever. Time to get stuck on another game, like 2142 or some PS3 game. I will miss you, stats!

They are coming back. Like monday or something. The reason why they weren't fixed this weekend is because not many people will have been in work at Gamespy. And i don't think they could care less.

It is the fourth day now for the majority of us that don't have our stats updated. The server seems to be well frozen. Also, most of the people I have heard from including me; don't have any replies to their support tickets on the issue. This is it; EA has secretly dropped its support for the original Battlefield 2.

Regardless if they ever fix the issue or not, I'm probably not going to buy any more games from them. Four days of a major service used by people all over the world to be not working is way to long and extreme; it just tells how crappy a company is. Very displeased.

why is it that EA is always out to get us? these posts are just getting old....I'm going to go look at teh BF1942 forums and see if they are whining about EA not supporting them anymore...how about this...if it so horrible play a different game...*gasp*

I can only wonder if everyone who owns a BF2 server or any SF,AF,EF server, would give EA the op to even fix everything wrong with BF2 or they would all stop paying for the servers and get out of them.
I wounder what EA would do then?

There is not much wrong with BF2. People over exaggerate. Sure there are a few bugs, but nothing is perfect.

Exactly. Me and friends compete for K/D Ratio, SPM...etc...Apart of the fun =)

EA, well, I never liked em' - only liked their games to an extent; meaning, the support sucks.

alex, a few bugs? You'd think a game thats been out for 2 years that is so popular should have the bugs worked out. Why is it everyday I kick people for wall glitching? Why is it people die from a knife 10 yards away? why is it their player hit models suck so bad that if you shoot them almost to the point of below the knee, they aren't even getting hit? Please... EA support sucks, or at least their coders do.

There is not much wrong with BF2. People over exaggerate. Sure there are a few bugs, but nothing is perfect.

Battlefield 2 is an integral part of my life like food and water! For someone to remove a feature of it such as stats would be equivalent for someone taking my ability to taste sweetness.



I kind of have a hunch that it may be fixed tomorrow, Monday. They possibly Thursday and Friday they didn't catch the problem because not enough people were whining unlike now, and on the weekends they do not work. But I may just glance at my stats on Monday afternoon and see my points horrifically still frozen at the number that will forever stay burned in my mind: "7674".

Geez don't have a heart attack from yelling so much. They are just stats, not bombs or girls. They are just data, the stat servers will be fixed and then you guys can stop whining.

trust me Im not mad about the stats not updating, **** happens, its the stupid posts like yours that caused me to post like that

Well, the bugs hardly ever effect my play. Our servers are up almost 24/7 and we only get glitchers maybe once a week. But thats probably because our players are usually locals.
The only bug that annoys is the hit boxes one, but getting that to work is just about tweaking the game properly so the lag compensation equals your ping.
