    Connection Lost

    Hi! ^^
Long time no see so I wish to know if there are some workaround for the annoying message "Your connection to the server has been lost".

I've bought a new PC but I get the same problem as before buying it .

    2 days ago I've reinstalled bf2 (original -> reboot -> 1.41).
I played twice (1h for session) and I get no problem.
Yesterday for the first time I got kicked with that message.

I don't have firewall installed (only WindowsXP one).
    What should I try?

    System Specs:
    CPU E6420
    MOBO Gigabyte DS3
    GRAPHICS CARD nvidia 7200gs
    RAM 2gb ddr2@800mhz
    HD 2 hdd sata
    Latest Drivers installed yes
    OS Windows XP SP2
    Anti-Virus/firewall AVS/WindowsXP
    Internet connection 20mb Adsl connection

I play with DVD image mounted with Deamon Tools.

:) I hope someone found a solution for this annoying problem..
    I'm so disappointed

PS: Sorry for my bad english ^^''

    Re: Connection Lost

startup bf2, hit alt tab, press ctrl alt delete, find the bf2.exe, hit the right mouse button, set affinity to just one cpu. Go back into the game and have fun. Worked for me at least. good luck and nxt time use the search

      Re: Connection Lost

Although I set affinity to CPU 0 I get disconnected.
      Is there any solution? ^^''

It may be obvious, but did you try to set it to cpu 1? Mine loses connection when i use cpu 0....

Cpu 1 seems to work better than CPU 0, thanks but I get disconnected though..
I changed up all my computer, reinstalled WinXP but I can't really find something that helps me playing without any problem..

I start to think that the problems could be given by my Internet Connection..
If someone has any new clue it would be very very very appreciated ^^

Run the game, connect your profile.
Once connected press ALT+TAB (this will minimize BF2 and you'll come back to Desktop).
Press CTRL+ALT+CANC. This will show you the processes' list.
Click on 2° tab (processes/threads in italian i don't know the english one), find BF2.exe and right click on it and select "set affinity".
This will show you a menu where you can check:
                    CPU 0
                    CPU 1
                    CPU 2 // probably won't be checkable
                    CPU 3 // probably won't be checkable
                    CPU 4 // probably won't be checkable
                    CPU 5 // probably won't be checkable
                    ...

Uncheck CPU 0 and close everything but the game.
                    Restore BF2 and play normally.

                    :)

                    cheers

erm there is no affinity in my task manager processes anywhere......i assume this is because youre using an italian pc or something? lol you might be talking about the set priority option in the procceses. im using an english pc.
