If you ask me, Oman is an awesome map for MiGs and choppers, but also for sniping, tank-whoring and much much more. I love this map!

It's a beautiful day light map that appeals to every style of play from ground, air, and sea. By sea, I mean that you can actually find some action by traveling through the narrow river. Despite being open, the flags are organized and spaced well that you can have fun as infantry.

Oman was put together by Trauma studios,,,the original DC42 guys.

I used to hate this map, and to be honest I sometimes still do, when there is the constant cycle of bomb-reload-bomb-reload by the easy score brigade, but when thats not happening I think its one of the best maps in the game :)

Armor, choppers, jets, 2 uncaps, sniping places, plenty of ground AA....What more could you ask for?

Only change I would make to oman is the initial us flags(on 32 and 64 size) being neutral instead, so that players would have to take the boats.

Oman was the original demo map, which I played for a solid month before purchasing BF2.

It's a staple, always has good gameplay.

Once the airwhores take over though, just like every other air map, I just leave the server.

Groundpounding, after 10 deaths in a row from SU-35 bombs, more bombs, and choppers camping respawns, that's enough for me.
