I've heard it mentioned a few times and I noticed a lot of servers have a rule against it, but I'm not quite sure what it is. I did a search, but nothing came up on the subject.

Stat Padding is the multiplayer equivalent to God-Mode on singleplayered Doom.

You only ruin the game for yourself, morons.

I personally smack my nephew who cheats indescriminantly in every game hes ever played, when he cries that hes bored of all his video games. I'll never understand the human brain, when it compells people to spend $60+ to cheat for the win.

Meanwhile, those of us who earn our stats legally, have gladly enjoyed hundreds if not thousands of hours playing a game that we love, and will quite possibly never get bored of, until the next true sequel in line comes out.

Then IO mode was made for those who can't get X amount of kills with assault rifles, sniper rifles, machineguns, SMGs, shotguns, and overall infantry kills to earn a badge.

Its when medics constantly revive a guy while one guy from the other team kills the guy the medic revives. it gets you alot of points. but you can get your stats reset for it. I wouldnt advise doin it buddy.

Just get good. Then the points come abundantly.

I can get 130 points IAR super easy Without Paddin too. Its called teamwork and combat. Get 35 kills and 30 team work. Thats a hundred points you know. Not hard to do on a IO server. That is where combat shines.

IMHO infantry only is technically statpadding, but since EA actually has made it an option in the serverlauncher I guess we'll have to live with it.

You don't physically have to kill anything with the kit guns, to earn the kit specific badges. You could spend the majority of your BF2 career in a jet, and still manage to earn all of the expert kit badges, even if you've never actually shot an assault rifle in the game before.

IO was made because EA didn't want to spend the money to create non-conquest based game modes. So they made Conquest-lite.

Still, a different gameplay mode is a different gameplay mode. You should really fixate your hate on the losers who do nothing but throw grenades on IO mode and swear off Vehicles as lame, rather than the mode's conception itself.

Likewise, people who do nothing but play on Vehicle servers and quite literally live in their jets or helicopters are no better than the ground pounding grenade spammers on IO Karkand. It's easy mode for them and they're unwilling to leave their protective cocoon.

Some people can't cut it in a jet or helicopter, so they ground pound all the time.

Some people can't cut it as a ground pounder, so they fly all the time.
