There are times that the SAW is fantastic, remember that it puts down more rounds per minute than the others. In tight spots or medium range you can spray an area with a lot of bullets and get some nice kills. :evil:

Love the M249 for Karkand... At long range distances, i try to start low, from knee first and squeeze off a few bursts... Once i get to the mazes of the Hotel CP it's all rambo...:evil:

the vbf2 saw is ok.
the saw im workin on in bf2assault is the saw it should be. high recoil up. but same as m16 same damage and accuracy(though has more horizontal recoil and more recoil when not zoomed) its a beast. easily chew a squad from 100 meters. sorta.

i love to rambo with the m249 where u just run and gun. sometimes udonthit much, sometimes u do, but just think of wat the gun is good for...

it has OK damage...more than a submachine gun (4-6 hits for a kill) but its main feature is its rate of fire. it fires as fast as the P90 and it also contains 200 bullets....dont reload unless ur down to like 20 bullets. one of the main habits of most ppl is that they reload too frequently thinking that theyre going to run out on their next CQC firefight.

He's the best tip I can offer when using the SAW....

"When you see an enemy, pull out your pistol and shoot. If you happen to kill him, pick up his kit."

I found that to be the most successful.

I only read the first page and the above post, but I agree with eddy.
You definitely need longer bursts to stay accurate, and don't even try semi .

Yes, it can hit through glass....
Back in the day on songhua I shot a blackhawk pilot out... I unloaded into the cockpit :)

Ok dumb question... what kit gets the SAW and which unlock is it? I have looked on a couple of sites and the M249 SAW is not listed....
