SAW =Squad Automatic Weapon=

This gun. The M249 SAW. I find it a difficult thing. I love it CQB, even medium range though, I find it really hard to pull off. I end up aiming slightly lower to where I think it should be going. Sometimes I get great results and alot of PWNage. Sometimes not. I just wish I knew the secrets to mastering it. I will spend some more time with it. Getting a feel for it. I just rarely get to play with it. I have been playing as MEC with the RPK for about a week straight. Aahah at least I know I want to be Support. That is good. I am a born Support kid. I like that role. Laying down covering fire. Suppressing them enemy flanks. It is good.


Any feedback is welcome. Try not to get mad at me or anything.

saw isnt best support lmg but alot of people forget that your support gun isn't going to be a rifle as hard as you try to fire it 1 or 2 shot burst to keep it accurate it's not going to give you the results you want.

once you accept the fact that you have to blow more ammo to kill then your good.
I generally fire in 6-8 round burst with .5 seconds between with all except mg36 i use rapid fire 3 round burst with that, the key to mastering any support gun is rapid fire, it's not a sniper rifle.

Too bad Suppressive fires - won't in BF2. A good combination of bunnyhopping, zig-zaging will beat any MG in this game, kinda sad.

Ah I have to say it's one of the worst weapons I've ever tried in BF2. You hardly see anyone pwn with it, and there are reasons for that.

First of all, the recoil is extreme. I have found the left/right recoil is much more than the one going up/down. so even if your crosshair isn't moving much at all, you wont be able to hit anyone.

yeah. IM not too shabby. I saw this one guy FSU with it. like seriously. He probably went 20-3 with it. I was in his squad. But yeah I sorta think its fun in the passages between hotel and square. You can get easy kills with it.

Yeah? Ahha. The RPK-74 is the shiet. I honestly only play Karkand for that. And some other things....
but mostly that gun!!

He's the best tip I can offer when using the SAW....

"When you see an enemy, pull out your pistol and shoot. If you happen to kill him, pick up his kit."

I found that to be the most successful.

Haah. Not to many people fond of that gun. I dont mind it, but it doesnt compare to the RPK-74 or the PKM.
