After testing out a few settings in Logitech Setpoint... your absolutely right. The higher the dpi, more sensitive the mouse is. So for sniping i should use 400dpi shouldn't I?

Hang on... 1600dpi makes the mouse move a lot slower right.... meaning its more accurate to shoot long range, whilst 800dpi is more sensitive meaning that you can use it normally in game.... or is it the other way around...?

Other way around my friend, 2000DPi setting is twice as sensitive as a 1000 DPi setting. In other words, you'll have to move the mouse twice as far in a 1000 dpi setting for the same cursor movement on-screen as a 2000 dpi setting.

My quick mouse dpi guide:
2000dpi : nutcase, bunny-hoppin,c4 spammin',fast-twitch cowboy
1500dpi experienced BF2 commando
1000dpi average BF2 guy
800 dpi: snipin expert
400 dpi : low as a snake in the weeds. "Wtf where is that sniper at........"

1600dpi would be best when your sniping as it will pick up minute movements, 800dpi isnt so precise.

Rofl, yesterday I tried Maxed Sensitivity + G5 Laser = way to sensitive. I got a K/D ratio of 1:3 :laugh:

Ive come to the conclusion my mouse has died. One of the "pads" that it rests on came off a while ago, and now i keep on randomly spinning in circles :hmm:

I use 1.8 in BF2, but I might make it higher.

My mouse DPS is 1,100. Not spectacular at all. The adjustable mice are where it's at if you want to specialize. I rock enough to infantry and armor whore.

the pad doesnt cause that, they just help the mouse glide over the mat. either ur laser is dirty or failing. so yup broke.

i use standard setting in controls, with my 518 i use 400 on infantry always, = max accuracy, and higher, usually 800 in tank, 1600 if i gotta move turret fast, and 1600 in chopper, 800 for Tvs.

Im using a RAZER Copperhead 2000dpi mouse. I have it set for max sensitivity when I am in a vehicle or running around with an assault rifle! I turn it way down when I am using a scope or sniping, otherwise the crosshairs move way to fast for me to lock in on a target and get a fast shot off! If your mouse has an option to use "Sensitivity on the Fly" like the RAZER mice, then make sure you have a button set up so you can adjust quickly in game!!!
