    Mouse Sensivity

    Hey,

I was just playing BF2, sniping, shooting w00t! So then I was bored and looked in the options and saw mouse sensitivity, so I was testing a bit and still didn't find out which one fits me the best. But what do most of you people got?

    Thx,

    Mike

Edit: oops, title should be Mouse Sensitivity :p

    Re: Mouse Sensivity

Doesn't matter as it all depends on the mouse. I hit my MX518 of my desk and broke it, so I'm using a really old mouse (should be called rat due to the size) and it's as sensitive as a dead arthritic slug. Had to turn it up in XP and put it on 3 in game to get anywhere near as quick as the MX 518.

I have two modes on my MX518:

        Normal: 800dpi

        Sniping: 1600dpi

With my Steelpad, its very precise!

I have the same mouse...it sucks. I have it on .1 and the lowest sensitivity in the XP CP.

Can't wait to get my G5.

Lol...most people would use the lower sensitivty for sniping to make the scope steadier

I've got my Razer Dimondback on 0.6 but I guess it's really just a matter of what you're used to and what settings the mouse usually got in XP.

Depends on the situation, if i'm going to be flying or tank operator im at 10, sniping, .10 (i take really really far shots). For regular kits about a 3.5 to 4.... the less accurate the gun the lower the sensitivity.

                        with a mx518 at 1600dpi:

                        infantry-0.4
                        vehicle-5
                        heli-10
                        jet-10

higher dpi +lower sensitivity=better accuracy and control

                            Yeah depends on mouse.

                            And how you play.

You might want it realy low for good sniping, or medium for CQB combat.

Hang on... 1600dpi makes the mouse move a lot slower right.... meaning its more accurate to shoot long range, whilst 800dpi is more sensitive meaning that you can use it normally in game.... or is it the other way around...?
