dairuka how can you even relate that to this? how much did your pc cost? the extra graphics card, RAM etc. if you're so into spreading charity, why did you spend money on a pc and a game? you could have donated that money to charity. and the 670 hours youve spent playing BF2 could have gone to voluntary work to help.

People with higher pings tend to be harder to hit, due to the hitbox not registering nearly as often. Often these people can 'skip' frames, making them almost invulnerable to gunfire at times.

This is one of the many reasons why there is an auto-kick for high pings.

Exactly...I didn't notice I had 130 ping once and I was owning!!!

Better then usual I mean...cause I am rather good...but it seems ping helped alot.

They dont skip because of the ping, they skip because of bad hardware. I know I was one who skipped during dogfghts (giving me quite a nice advantage). Not because of the 150+ ping, but because of the 512 MBs of RAM.

I'm just made to wonder why we worry about insignificant things such as the ping balance between a super-computer, and a poor one. I don't see why people have to be so envious of others simply because they have something better.

I'm tired of the whole, "oh poor me! I don't have the best of everything, so I should have everything handed to me!" attitude. There is always someone worse off out there, as I've just shown.

Doesnt really make sense, but I guess these are differences in experience. Ive had games with 300+ pings aswell and never skipped (small size/number servers). Filled up, PC wont handle it, and skipping starts.

I have yet to have problems with hitting people with higher ping while I had a low one. Ive had plenty of bad experiences with the situation turned around.

Yeah, but I dont skip with 150, I just have to do immense and accurate attempts of leading the target properly to hit.

Player on machine with 100 fps and a sub 20ms ping

vs

Player on machine with <25 fps and a >75ms ping

I have played both and differerence is night and day. This unbalanced match is made worse by the fact that the most experienced gamers usually have the faster machines on better connections leaving the poor recreational gamers feeling like the other guy must be hacking.

Is there anyway to balance the matchups?

It's the same with all online FPS games

Most of the time on a certain server that I frequent (mostly because of this) I get 12 ping. After the initial lag of loading is over it runs as smooth as any.
