I'm interested to know why people are saying AA guns are a "no skill weapon". It is pretty difficult to shoot down a good pilot if he can see that you're manning the gun, so i think it's quite reasonable not to be in it as the plane approaches, then you avoid presenting an easy target. I do this sort of thing quite often, it's the only sensible way to use the guns IMO.

Diving works in the jet's favour. All AA guns find it very hard to aim vertically upwards, you can get a missile lock which won't last, because they'd have destroyed you before you got the chance to shoot a single missile. Your only defence is the AA flak cannon - and it's bloody well hard to focus that vertically.

Dive bombing doesn't work in the jet's favour for the reasons stated, but that just proves "zipp0r" is an utter... nub. Bombing AA is a waste of time, when you can just go on a vertical dive at the AA and kill it with a few rounds from the MG. A stinger takes what, 1 direct hit to take out...

if your bombing the carrier you deserve all you get to be honest and no AA system in bf2 is remotely overpowered if anything they are the biggest bomb magnets imaginable

so I ended up dying up there in the redzone, the guy that was chasing me died too and he was an admin, he said: "next F35 that pulls up straight into the sky while being chased will get kicked"

wtf, I cant imagine saying that even if I had admin powers, PEOPLE ARE ****ING STUPID and heres nothing u can do about it, they are either missing a brain or are just little kids who dont understand a thing, yea its only a video game but ur playing with real people

I do the same thing. Those turrets are death traps. It's stupid how a jet flying 500 mph machine guns more accurately and farther than a turret. Since when do bullets go farther than a missile lock?

i just said what the pilot was thinking, that your trying to escape him, by hopping in and out of a no skill weapon. do you expect him to be happy about it? well you did manage to kill a few times and he was clearly a nub to not find you.

we all know i wasnt one of those pilots, i would have found and then killed you.. many times :laugh:
