I want a person that knows how to fly helicopter and use the gunner position. Lately I've been getting lucky and getting decent drivers and gunners but I know that will end soon. My xfire is curlyboy283.

Re: Looking for a heli buddy.
You're the commander guy too, right? Cause you're already on my Xfire buddylist...
I think we've flown together once or twice. Haven't we?Comment

Re: Looking for a heli buddy.
I can't stand these people who have "heli buddies", 95% of the time they'll spam "get out", try to redline (if it comes to that, I'm ruining their whole round), or just crash.
If you join a public server and expect to have runs with your boyfriend every time, you're playing the wrong game.
Not saying any of you lot do this, just had to say that the concept of "heli buddies" sometimes leads to this.Comment

Re: Looking for a heli buddy.
Absolute rubbish!Originally posted by SloiSoloing solves that problem.
He wants to team up in a chopper and own! How does solo solve that?
Is he gonna chat to himself? Is he gonna learn more by himself? Will he do better by himself?
NO NO and NO!
Sloi i respect you are good at soloing and respect it is ok (only in the right situation) but going about insinuating soloing is the way to go IS WRONG!
Some of us actually want to play as a team, even if we are not l33t like you, we want to play the game as it was meant to be played!
TEAMWORK!!!!! = FUNComment

Re: Looking for a heli buddy.
I got spammed "Get Out" once while I got inside a Z10 with some random dude. It pissed me off.
I love using TV missiles. They're seriously awesome.Comment

You do have a point. But if i see 2 guys waiting on a chopper with the same clan tags i will leave them too it.I can't stand these people who have "heli buddies", 95% of the time they'll spam "get out", try to redline (if it comes to that, I'm ruining their whole round), or just crash.

They are obviously "buddies".....
In the hope that i get left to fly with my "buddies"... maybe im just to nice and like some good teamwork going on
Im just about to fire up BF2 and xfire and join a friend or two. Maybe we get a chopper together, maybe we dont. Either way i will have fun playing in a TEAM......
Maybe i would get more points and kills soloing a chopper but i would much rather have some fun teamwork..... be it in a chopper or on the ground.
Thank you very much, you solo (l33t) snobs!Comment

Re: Looking for a heli buddy.
That's perfectly alright in an unranked or clan server, but buddies or not, two people do NOT "own" in-game assets. Most of the servers I play on have tight communities, and when two butt-buddies come in from nowhere and hog things, and do what I said, it's very very annoying. Thankfully they don't last long. You do have a point. But if i see 2 guys waiting on a chopper with the same clan tags i will leave them too it.

It's not like I'm hopping in the heli to chaingun tanks and TV infantry either, neither am I hopping in to scrape people off the carrier.Comment

Re: Looking for a heli buddy.
I never said two "buddies" 'own' the chopper, ranked or unranked. But if i see 2 guys waiting (with same clan tags)... i know they playing some teamwork and i let them fly. Nothing wrong with that, and the majority i hope would agree...... it is far better than letting some solo leet tw@t fly! That's perfectly alright in an unranked or clan server, but buddies or not, two people do NOT "own" in-game assets. I say again..... TEAMWORK = FUN
This all started cos 'some' think they are better? on their own (they not having as much fun as me then!
I am not arguing with you camper, you are right. But some others posting here are not.Comment

Yes, you're correct, I also avoid getting in the way of 2 people waiting for a heli with clan tags, especially if I'm playing purely for fun and not to win like others.
The problem arises when people, clan tags or not, completely get demolished time and time again, and still have the nerve to try and take the heli. I met some ridiculously annoying three-striped players with far less than 20 hours in the game, who were hogging the helis and ruining everyone else's experience (we were getting baseraped purely because of them), which is what brought me to saying this.
"TEAMWORK = FUN"
Team-killing, when the whole server degenerates into a TK fest is also fun :p
Soloing isn't an ideal solution, but at least you save time looking for a gunner :PComment
