In your case having only 512mb is not good for smooth game play,i would get 1gig more ram and it will be probelm solved.
How will that solve connection??
If you mean GFX (Graphics) Lag at the start of round.. (Stuttering, not Connection loss) then Play on low Graphics and with your card (and mine :P) you DEFINATLY need more RAM.
Ya more Ram. 1 gig at least. 1.5 to 2 gigs would be great. As for connection issues, connection problems usually have something to do with the local network you're on or your ISP. I can't give any ideas here as I don't know the specifics of your network. I will say that if you have a wireless router, or a router with all or most of the jacks active you may want to look there for your problem first.
