id like to see three seperate answers- one for the best mod, one for the mod with the most users, and one for the mod that is most chaos/alloutwarfare/bombs going off all around you-type of mod.

1. best mod is kinda hard to say since all the mods are really good in there own way. try them all and make up your own mind about that one :)

Right now there are only two mods competing for top spot imo.
PR and DCON.
Depending on the stats you look at, they are holding neck and neck for players.
DCON has some work to do to smooth things out, but they just released the alpha (update is in the works and it looks really big too)
PR has a loyal fan base and is very popular, but I don't see it getting any bigger in player numbers han it is right now.
I like DCON much better, but they are completely different mods, theres no way to compare them really.
The whole "Which mod is best" question is getting really played out. There is no way to compare mods that have polar opposite missions and designs. That comes down to what type of game is more fun for you.
Full on hard core action is PR? Have to disagree with you there. Then again, you probably thing your mod is better than everone at everything. As far as players go, on average you guys have been so close its hard to count, depending on which stats you look at and when.Originally posted by RhinoComment

nice. is there a faster method of downloading PR, im doin a normal dl, are there like any torrents and such, or zip files? its gonna take 3 hours for 1 gb..I live in Pennsylvania if that matters for servers.....NYC is the one im uising but it doesnt make a dif...Comment

Project Reality is by far the best mod out at the moment, though that is to be expected seeing as how it's nearing 0.6 while DCON has only just reached 0.1.Comment

Despite some of the issues DCon has with the Alpha, we still have strong numbers and our community is growing everyday. Also, TWL and CAL leagues/ladders opened a DCon section for our fans to post(well CAL) and compete.
Most chaos, have you played 73easting, El al, LostVillage, Mosul (just to name a few) LOL talk about an all out war and crazyness. Also, try other game modes in DCon. Last Sunday we hosted a "Sunday night PUG" and had a very good turn out. We might do it this coming Sunday as well. If you're interested, plz check itout.
As far as naming the best mod, well, everybody has a different opionion on this. Download them, try them and make your own decision.
Lastly, a patch is in works and you guys will be very happy with it.

for the most players you cant deny PR. not only does it have 100 more players than any other mod right now its been holding strong and only gaining more players and its been out for quite some time.
dcon and eod were looking good for a few weeks but i hate to say it they are loosing players in droves each day, average players can only be base raped and spawn killed so many times before they just get pissed and uninstall the mod.
the absolutely best looking, playing and professionally built full conversion mod made is POE2 but unfortunately you'll be lucky to see 70 people at peak time. as for mass chaos and mass casualties its gotta be dcon. hopefully the new USI and POE2 updates can really drum up some players because the battlefield mod community just isnt what it used to be, stats took care of that, youll be lucky to ever see more than 1000 mod players at one time for all mods combined.Comment

That depends on what your idea of hard core means :p
for me it means full on team work, with you really having to think in a tatical method of how to get your squad to really make a impact on the battle. Like i said that point really needs to be more discriptive to what he ment :pComment

POE2 should never have fallen off in numbers, great mod. USI has got some great new content, and I always thought OPK was one of the best mods out.
Hopefully some older mod players come out of retirement and have a mid life crisis with me.Comment

PoE2 is a great mod it just feels empty like it is lacking something probably because whenever i play hte ost people on is mybe 34 on a server. PR is fun for those who like alot of realisim obviously. I think its a bit to realistic for me i dont like having to have a certain kit to drive or fly and having only one sniper.
Dcon looks good havent tried it yet. they all are good mods just depends on what kind of gaming you prefer.Comment
