Whoring the J10 (jets) is so easy...

I have spent 3% of my play time in jets (opposed to 30% in helicopters), and now it is becoming more and more clear for me how ridiculously easy it is to whore the jets, especially the J-10. Even with my humble jet skills, I've got a KDR of 7.8 this month.

Mobile AA's excluded, the ground poses practically no threat. Those circles around the vehicles make it easy to strafe with the cannons before you can even see the poor thing. STA is merely cannon fodder. Strafe an enemy flag from far away and you will occasionally get a couple kills. Boats are easy prey, and the half-mile long trail they leave doesn't help much.

To the air... Attack helicopters are easy to take down. Jesus, now I see how easy it is. Spam missiles on them, and usually at least 1 will hit. If they are a little damaged, it is 2 automatic kills... If they are smoking already, a quick pass with the cannon and they are gone.

So, as I've always said, the only credible threat are other jets. Now, if you have the amazing auto-missile-dodger "J-10", those poor bastards in the F35-B's are toast. On maps like Dalian and Wake, the J-10 is the easiest vehicle to whore.

Pretty much agree, but J-10 is not invincible, just too good by it's characteristics. If it'd be given F-35's flight physics it would be worse than F-35. An arrogant F-35 pilot can keep J-10 on the ground on Wake (or any map), but it takes skilled pilot to take it down mid-air, but it definitely is possible and bigger whore flying the easier to shoot down.

I still prefer F-35 because of it's superior ground attack capabilities.

Yeah, well idk what you are talking about.. Jets aren't that easy to whore... for obvious reasons..


Jets also aren't the end-all to everything on the ground... CHOPPERS, play a huge (bigger than jets) role on ground attack. Jets are not close quarters attack, it's really random (when you bomb bases anyways, but it can be very accurate [attack markers] too).


I have almost equally whored choppers, and with choppers, you can see all the enemies on the ground, and obviously, you move alot slower than jets, so people can see/fire at you just as well. BUT, if you have a good chopper crew, you can rape anything on the ground.



And that is BS that only mobile AA's can take down jets and only other jets etc etc... If you use TEAMWORK, you can take down any jet with stinger/IGLA.. the point is, you need more than one to work together.. you can't just sit in the ****ing AA and expect to not get killed.. AA missles never miss... half the time, even with good flare drops, they hit you.

Even if you get them down to smoke, most of the time that will make them HAVE to repair (or get shot down on the next run).

My experience with jets on a public server is still meager, but I've noticed that J-10's are particularly pathetic the moment you go higher than 200m in altitude.

Thats why I live at 400m-500m on Daqing Oilfields in my F-15.

Personally, I don't have much respect for players that exclusively use the j-10 on wake then again who cares about my opinion it's only a game.

I do! I have the same attitude towards those people.

No respect what-so-ever for them, just lamers - especially when they attack the carrier and stop F35B's from taking off. Lame.

Jets & choppers are my favorite vehciles (surprise!) in BF2. You can easily get good KD ratios in them, and end on top @ scoreboard in every single round.
On Wake, if China has all the flags, then the jets and the chopper leads the defense of the Island. Tanks, infantry can only wait to US capture a flag. Or swim to the small island and take out the artillery etc... So yes, jets can whore in some rounds.

lol, I always laugh when I see that. It makes no sense at all, and its just a HUGE target for anyone who gets in a boat. Good job on that one EA!
