F-18/MiG-29 isn't too bad, ony because of the fact that the MiG out performs the F-18 in most areas, but the F-18 can dodge missles better than the MiG.

F-18 is pretty slow and has a small afterburner timer, and the MiG has a longer timer.

So basically, it depends on who gets behind who first.. If the MiG spots out the F-18, the F-18 is going to have a hell of a time losing the MiG because it's faster and can turn tighter, but the MiG will have to hit the F-18 with missles, which can be easy, or hard depending on the move the defender is using. Another option would be to cannon the F-18.

If the F-18 spots the MiG, and the MiG sees the F-18, it will be tough to get behind him. You basically have to hit the MiG with missles, because unless he's using a mouse, you aren't going to cannon anything.

IMO it's pretty balanced because they both have their pros and cons, in general the MiG being the plane with better manueverability and the F-18 with the best missle dodging.


Of course nothing is as balanced as having a dogfight with the same 2 jets, but I would rather have 2 jets that are different, but balanced.

F18 vs mig..hmm i need to try that, I always thought the f18 was the second ebst fighter around, considering how ive never had trouble taking down migs with the f35b I figured it would be easier with the f18.

The F-18 is 'very' slow, but I've always found it to be the king of Verticle loops and Diagnal loops from the ground up. I tend to lose MiG's this way, since if they follow, they crash. This is even better on Kubra Dam where there are plenty of obstacles. Most of the good pilots I've played against usually disengage and just try to set themselves up on me again, but by then I've already blew most of my afterburner going up to 500+ altitude. They can't catch me when I'm up that high. Not if they haven't already got a lock on me, and not if I have some afterburner left. I go way too fast up there.

Even if they do manage to get another lock on me. I just go up to 800 altitude, spin out, turn off my throttle and coast my way back down to the ground after a 10 second break. I've never died in an F-18 doing that.

i like the f35b it is a interesting peice of the air in bf2
sorta unique with its hover and such
lotsa bullet rounds compared to j10
it only has like 300 (goes by quick)
f35 has 500- or - 600

My experience with F18 V MIG

If I get behind the F-18 I fire off all the missiles, even if they miss when I am a good angle. Then I switch to cannon, which to me against the F-18 is way easier than "spray then pray."

When I get the F-18 and have the MIG in front, I get flashbacks of a J10 vs F35 fight. MIG is easier to down using missiles, I call it the Russian F35 lol.

best way to beat a j10 with any aircraft is to blow all missles becuse it doesnt matter whether or not they drop flare because with the j10 its as if they had unlimited flares and held down x

All US fighters have 600 rounds of MG. Every other plane in the game has 300.

Not if you used the video to SUPPORT your opinion. Then it would be a General Discussion topic that has a video to support the discussion. If you were to ONLY post a video of a dogfight, then yes, it should go to the media section. See how that works? I can try to
