Special Forces + BF2 Weapon question

ok, so I just got Special Forces...I did all the patching so that it works with 1.3 and so forth. BUT....I thought that it would give me weapon unlocks when playing regular BF2? Anyone know the real deal behind this>?

Yes I played SF for a few minutes just to check it out. Sorry if this has been covered alot. But for some reason, I thought certain weapons from SF were unlocked in Vanilla BF2.

Yes some of them can be unloacked for vanilla. It can take awhile though sometimes.
