Wow, four pages of remarks and no answer. Bummer. Then again I havent posted a reply yet have I. Im just an average player not better than anyone here but I think this question deserves an answer.

First, when you buy BF2, or any game on CD, Take a magic marker and print the CD key on the side of the CD thats up when you play it in the computers CD player. That alone will save you tons of problems.

If you did buy the game and have lost the CD key E-mail EA about that. They will ask you to send them your old copy of the game and send you another with a good CD key If the CD key on your current copy hasnt been banned. Oh, It will cost about 20 bucks too.

There is also a place in your computer files where that CD key is stored but I cant tell you where because I havent had to go that far to find The key. Just in case you wondered how I know this, I run 2 sometimes 3 computers playing BF2 at my house and Ive been there and done that. So thats where I got my info, Good Luck. . . . . . . . . .Red

Here's an even better idea, when you buy and install a game and it gives you the option to register it, DO IT.

For all of EA's faults this is one thing that they got right. All you do is go to EA's site and log in with your EA/Pogo/whatever, click on My Account and then My Games and guess what, there is a list of all EA games that you have registered along with all the CD-KEYS for each game.

That's quite unlucky to hear, but next time do consider registering your game 'cause it's a life saver in a situation like this.

I have a whole list of CD-KEYS of games installed and taken off, 'cause you never know when you might need them again.

Just look around for some cheaper deals, try and buy the expansion back which includes BF2 & BF2: SF. I'm sure you'll find a way to play again.

ALWAYS REGISTER WITH GAMES FROM EA. that way you dont have to deal with this since odds are you are going to have to reinstall the game at least once or twice.
