Battlefield Ebay: A story of a regular BF2 player who got screwed.
Re: Battlefield Ebay: A story of a regular BF2 player who got screwed.
Once again... I got my CD key off of eBay....
Just don't be an idiot when you buy it. I've purchased tons of stuff off of eBay that requireed electronic registration. It's not illegall. You just don't get sent the CDs that you would get in the store.
The point is, you should know how to shop on eBay.
Re: Battlefield Ebay: A story of a regular BF2 player who got screwed.
I do feel somewhat sorry for you. However why don't you go back to ebay and tell them that you have bought something that was not working. You can only exspect to get told what to do when posting such things on forum that loads have worked to buy the game from a shop or over the net. If we all did what you did game companies would go out of business. I am sure loads of you have without ripping of sites or buying CD keys what did you exspect to happen?
Most people who are selling BF2 on EBay the person might be ban from using the game so you buy it an dget screw. Go and buy a copy of BF2 and I do agree what someone said write it down CD key I do.
Re: Battlefield Ebay: A story of a regular BF2 player who got screwed.
the biggest i told you so in the history of BF2, well cept for the fools that paid 600+ dollars for general ranks only to get reset within days  oh the irony
Re: Battlefield Ebay: A story of a regular BF2 player who got screwed.
How the hell do you lose things twice....I can't even imagine losing the first one. You take the box, put it in a drawer or something, and thats it. Impossible to miss if you look for it later.

Call me naive and a noob but what do you mean you are buying Cd-Keys off of ebay? I am not being sarcastic, I really want to know. You are only buying the keys because you lost yours? I mean if its legit that sounds great. I just didnt know it was legit. I lost my cd-key for COD2 in a move but I still have all the CD's(I think).
Re: Battlefield Ebay: A story of a regular BF2 player who got screwed.
Sorry man, it's your own fault for buying off Ebay. I must admit I've done the same for other games and it's hit or miss when it comes to getting keys that aren't being used. Contacting the seller is all you can do. You're taking a risk on that site. Maybe you should've considered a key trading site, but again, you are taking the same risk.
And after paying all this money for BF2, wouldn't it be common sense to keep the key in a safe place? Create a word document and print it out ffs.
Anyway, it shouldn't matter now. Buy the cheaper retail box with all the BF2 crap EA's released so far.

Someone buys the game in whatever country. They don't open it or use it until you buy it in the auction. They email you the # on the CD case.
I didn't ever lose mine. I bought it this way when it came out. There are some other things that have to happen (on my end) in order to play, but I cannot talk about it (against forum rules).
It's a lot cheaper than a store, no tax, no shipping, no clutter, and nothing to get lost or damaged. The CD key is nestled away in my email account at Google.
