Actually it as simple as basic economics.
It cost them $$$$ much money to develop, produce, market, etc. the game.
They made this much $$$$$$$$$$$ money from the game.
When sales go down and they are no longer making the acceptable profit level from the game. They drop it like its hot and moves on to the next project.
They only care about the consumer when it pads there pockets. What else do you expect? that’s the way Business works. Customer Service pretty much stops once you hand over your cash. What customer Support you do receive is only there to maintain that thin line between the customers buying there product verse going to there competition. Why do you think its so hard to get to talk to a company rep to get support? They make it that way on purpose so you get aggravated and hang up the phone. The elevator music they play while you on hold. That is not for your benefit, it is for there benefit, certain types of music have been proven to clam people down, so if your angry at them for something and are ready to go off on them after 20 minutes of listening to the elevator music, your mood has calmed down. Money is there motivator. For example go into a store dressed like you got a lot of money. You will be treated like royalty.
Go into a store dressed like you do not have any money and it will take you 20 minutes just to find someone to help you. This does not apply to all companies. Some still do have good morals and treat the customer the way the should be treated no matter how much money they have to spend. I just have not found any lately.
