so what are your opinons about desert conflict? i'm downloading it right now so i havent gotten a chance to play it but i think it might be interesting difference from just battlefield 2, especially with their replacement of the ground aa missles

with my little experience with it, it seems pretty good. I like it much better than PR. Definetly worth downloading since its free, but in the long run i know ill be playing vanilla much more.

Well right now I cant play levels that have air vehicles because they are insanely laggy. The levels I have played are all very interesting and "elaborate". There are so many places you can go, and it seems like more of a realistic fighting environment. If you liked Desert Combat for BF1942, then you will most definitely like this mod. Im more of a pilot, so I kind of have a bias opinion right now. Its not everything I expected only because Ive only been able to play infantry levels (which were fun, but I can see them getting old). Its a different game for me, so I have to get used to it I guess.

yeah i forgot to mention the lagginess too which really blows. I have like 30 ping on a server and its so extremely choppy, yet my frame rates are around 50.

Love it... its not BF2 at all though...

It totally brings me back to 1942, only with better graphics.
So i think it brings the vets back what they wanted, while new players aren't really sure what to expect

It's ok, some nice IO maps, like the one wher you have to cross the river, but there are too many karkand-like noobs, grande grande grandeg grande graded bunny hoppinh bunny hoppinh bunny hopping... people runing all over the places no tactics just a mess, - nice map, turned to **** by the players, again.

open tank maps are kinda boring

don't know if it's just me, but it takes forever to load a map. 10 mins to 15 mins.


Nice music though, and one thing I like is the new Spec Ops gun.

It's not too bad, but not very good. Project Reality still kicks butt.

Ok... so I was just playing el alamein... flying in the 2nd seat of prototypeJC's apache... and about 1 minute later my game froze up, minimized after 20 seconds, I tried to re-open DCon and I see my computer's start up screen... yes... DCon crashed my computer.. gg.

I like BF2 the way it is, these mods just have cooler maps and vehicles, the rest is gay
