The Next Patch

With all this talk on the next bf2 patch, i have heard heaps of stuff being said, but does anyone have anything to back up any of the claims. Things like the ranking system stopped and it being the last patch ever and everyone can automatically get every unlock. The only thing ive seen is that someone in the know said that in the next patch there is something you will like and hate...

So does anyone have any proff on these claims?

In order to give the game back a sense of realism , game controlled carpet bombings will occur over large portions of the map area without warning every 30-60 seconds......This may or may not lead to an instant server crash.

Also an all new feature that requires players to pay $20 every month in order to keep playing will be added.

There will also be one final expansion pack released that will be required in order to continue playing. It will include an all new Swiss Army style pocket knife weapon for the engineer class and a drivable farm tractor, these new features also may lead to server crashes.

I really don't know how to respond to this... The last part makes me want to LOL so much. Think of all the noobs drooling over free unlocks.

I don't think BF2 will hold my interest much longer. I agree with SS^. The mods are incoming (and some are already here). It would be nice to see some glitches and bugs dissapear... but we hear that every patch, and they usually get worse. I think it's mods FTW. I wish they came earlier.

I'm not sure free unlcoks is a good idea, it just feels wrong, I don't know how to say it...what do you guys think of free unlocks?

Well, on the EA UK forums, they were talking about it. So I don't think what you say here is true then, heh

EA Voilet (or something) were asking for bugs he could add to the list to fix, for the new 1.5 patch....

I think... who cares? There is a rare advantage to having them (I'm not getting into it here). You can pick them up in kits all over the place. That's why I want to laugh: Thinking of all the little kids salivating, tapping their fingers together, and saying, "Excellent," like Monty Burns during the load screen.

if the unlocks were free then they wouldnt be called unlocks would they?

and anyway, i dont think EA r just gonna throw away an unlock system that probably cost them alot of time to make and add in... probably some rumour started by some gay noob...

Yeah unlocks...or for those who don't think the word is proper we will call it "give away weapons".

Well I think it's almost good because it will stop "little kids" from badly stats padding to get them...but it still would be stupid not to earn them. Oh, and people complain about unlcoks beeing to overpowerd, well they are supposed to or no1 would want unlocks....!
