mursht you dont even need to have a snipers kit just go rifleman for the British and you'll be a minisniper. Yeah it takes more skill to use but as your such an elite marksman that shouldn't matter just aim for the head 1 shot kills like in vBF2 but with way more accuracey.
Spoken for truth... I've had some hella-insane scores and K/D ratios with the British Rifleman on Hemland Province. Obviously, this is not nearly as important as winning the round for the team, but it sure does friggin help that I can blow the enemy away from 2 "berms" away and they never even see me. :)
Kit limiting is a nice idea (and it works O.o), but it's absolutely true that kits like snipers are always taken when you need them. I admit I have tk'd snipers, not to take their kits or anything but just to give somebody else a change. Sniper with 1:1 k/d is not really useful and definitely not doing his job. Besides they seem to be always in wrong places.
I'd go back to not limiting kits, because if there's need to limit something, something is seriously wrong. There are plenty of ways to make kits balanced just like in real life. If snipers would own just about everything IRL, all armies would be armies of snipers.

well ehhh, snipers do just own in real life. but the fact is they can only own troops. its like saying that tanks and jets own, cos they really do. but without the troops etc and everything to support them they would just be more or less uesless.
also bare in mind being a sniper in r/l is something that takes alot of skill and very few solidgers get any where near what is required to be a sniper.
and if we did make them "blanced", then it would be like in bf2 where around 15% of the team are playing as a sniper, if not more. now ehhh, you would never find that in real life. so we need to put in things like kit limmiting to make sure you dont get to many snipers on a team.
we are going to try and exspand on areas to stop "noobs" getting kits etc untill they have shown they can use them if we can :)

lays mines under vehicles, uses c4 to blow bridges, vehicles, people, walls, buildings (recent addition to PR!) repair our vehicles, bridges, etc
and i sometimes get a neat shotgun to have a scream over (and that is going to see some realism changes soon I feel, whilst I peer into my crystal ball and call upon the spirits of engineers past to help me in my visions.)

Uh huh, because getting the most kills is one of the primary objectives of Project Reality.
And again, all those "real snipers" camp around all day. Personally, I would rather die 5 times trying to capture a flag than rack up kills half a mile away.
Ok to start off I love PR its so much fun and I cant get enough of it. However the thing that bothers me most is that the sniper/marksmen kits are limited. Yes I know you dont want a hundred sniperes running around but the fact that the noobs get the snipers and us REAL snipers are stuck with nothing. I was once playing on a server and before the round started I said " I call sniper" and another guy said "I call sniper" but I told him I had called it first.. you know what he said to me? "Ill teamkill you" yeah thats right "Ill teamkill you"!! I couldnt belive this crap. This total noob was gonna get the weapon that I am best with. I just feel that there should be a thing that lets you pick what kit your gonna be and let it stay like that. This way us snipers can be us snipers and everyone else can be what they want to be.
Aside from MP what about SP? No snipers in SP?? Why not its like the only place where you dont need to worry about some noob stealing your gun.
