hitman283, i know its off topic but the quote in your sig should be "sex panther: it works 60% of the time all the time" as for i/o karkand, its boring and just for points, i mean you pay 50 bucks to play a GAME and have FUN, not to make your e-penis bigger, its almost as bad as people on WOW paying people to level their accounts for them.

@OP, only because they can't face the fact that they suck. They may say IO is easy or something but even BF is all about infantry after all, remember that. Everything else is just for decoration and newbies to begin with.

Did you know that there are some people in this game, because of the I/O mode, that can only play medic, throw a granade and use the shock paddles?
That's funny, because some people do it damn well, better than others actually. I'd rather be good at something than bad at everything.

        Eh.

The highest score I have seen on a map like Wake/Oman with a guy using jets is maybe 120-140.

I regularly see scores 200 and above from medics. And yeah, when a MEDIC is getting more points than assault players on a CQC infantry map, something is very wrong.

        Massive fail

Battlefield is about bringing infantry, vehicles, and planes together on a large battlefield. Inf Only IO is Counter Strike with more grenades and less tactics...

Playing Battlefield 1942 should be a requirement for BF2 :\

They need to start giving arty in IO matches, that would shake up the nade spamemrs, then all the real players that know how to stay alive will come in after and pwn.

The constant nade spam and the hacker snipers who somehow can pick you off through all the constant haze pisses me off (And yeah, I have my settings High Geometry, 100% draw distance)

Let's not forget the 90% of people on the map who decide that the Hotel is the must have CP so they spend the entire round there. Then when one person/squad actually makes it across the river, they get no support either from the commander or the team because everyone wants to point whore at the Hotel.

At least it isn't the uncap rape-fest like on Jalalabad.

Who caps the flags? Who kills the enemy? Who goes first and never gives in? Never falls when everything else is destroyed? What I'm saying you can win any map with infantry only, but never with armor/planes/choppers only. In real army everything is made only for one purpose: support infantry on it's mission to conquer enemy land.

And that's pretty much the same thing in BF2. You suck as infantry, you suck at the game. You're useless when hard times come, when helo gets shot down, when tank gets blown up. After tank is dead the fight has just begun because you still have to kill the player right?

And newbs like vehicles. More you play less you use them because they are not effective enough. One player in right place makes everyone's life hell, one tank just makes him target for everyone.

You and I both know that, statistically, a wake 24/7 server is far, far worse.

They both suck equally, and 24/7 anything really sucks (Unless its Ghost Town).

Huh? Ghost Town was made for IO. Tight roads, many sniping spots, and small size...

Karkand is the only map which truely matters.

Well if you guys don't like dying by nades so much then why don't you not take the predictable path?

Hell I don't like nade deaths but I don't get killed by nades all too often.
