What should I do, I'm addicted to BF2 and it's starting to affect my school work. I play for at least an hour most days, the obvious solution would be to stop playing but I can’t seem to do this. I've got a life and friends so I'm not a loser but BF2 is going to take over I reckon, I don't want to be a fat loser with a **** job when I'm 30 who is a computer game junkie lol. Any tips on how I should play less BF2, find a different hobby other than computers?

No,your not an addict,An addict would be something along the lines of what the poster after you said,and even more hours a day,everyday.

If your only playing battlefield 2 for an hour a day,And your schoolwork is dropping,Wow...Not sure if it's bf that's causing it or not.

Maybe you should read books,or something...Hell i don't know. (as a new hobby)

got a point there. try start to talk to someone (MSN or rl. dosent matter. after a while, msn talking will affect your rl. talking with that person so, a good start!). after a while you will see that its so much better than bf2.

I never sat in front of my computer till I was at least 22...so the last 6 years Ive actually touched it. Sure my PS2 was worn down by many many games of FF. battles of Madden, NBA Live, etc.. but my computer was, well...meh..

The games in my opinion were so so, the interweb its self was and is filled with the worse people you can meet a majority of the time and I never understood the lure of FPS's.

Then came 22...and my kid...and having to "care" about work and such.
It started as MMORPG's...till Bf2 was released.
So since the release of Bf2...no more Ps2 or any consoles...no more MMORPG's..almost 1300+ hours of Bf2 while the kid and woman are fast asleep, at work/school, or just not here..

Imagine what i could have done with those hours..write a book, go back to school, build a dirty bomb...etc..

my advice: summon up some will power. its march, school ends in june (or may, unless your school is messssssssssed). thats not long. then when its 11 at night you can play for hours until its morning.

i did that last year. i got the game in may and barely played, then during the summer i did just that. except i took a break to watch the beginning of Conan O'brien (great show i must say)

Find a new activity. I used to play up to 24+ hour rounds in the summer. BF2 was great when I liked it. Then, school, work and whatnot came and I just didnt have enough time.

Just try something else.

Gaming at the peaks took about 8-10 hours of my life in the "Boring" periods. Right now, its 3-4, mostly a few rounds after work and dinner.

find a girl, find a gym, make over urself( if u need one) and bf2 will be outa the way in no time.
