Rank's or Award's?

So me and my friend where talkin about bf2 and the subject came up of ranks or awards. so i though id settle this by makin a post. So wats more important to the fellow bf2er's out there? ranks or awards?

Rank doesnt meen anything to me. I just want it so I can unlock guns. Awards are fun to collect though.

I really don't care, but at least awards give you something more to do if you want. If that option weren't there, I'd say awards.

Look at some of the retards that have been colonel forever. I think awards mean more; because, it shows you put forth some kind of effort. Even if, one is lame enough to just stat pad.

I really don't care about them.

It's cool to get awards because it's an "accomplishment" in some regards. It's just like earning things in any other game.

And, although rank really means nothing to me, it is nice to hear that drumroll. Rank is just an indication of how long you've played.

I don't realy care that much...but if I had to say here it is,

Awards snice it's something nice you have accomplished and "worked for".

But I and a IO karkand whore...why, because I want to get every unlock...then I will play every other kit and map! I only need 20,000 more points and I got Master seargent, yes!!! all unlocks...well I don't know what rank is coming up I just know it's the last one then I have all unlocks! Then I just play for fun.

YEAH THE DRUM ROLL...but when you get as many promotions as me in a day it gets boring...lolz that was just a joke!

Meh I like them both Rank= Unlocks Awards= something to work for
Other than that just fun playing the game from time to time

Yeah i like getting both, Ranks for a sense of progress and awards for a sense of accomplishment.

Ranks means nothing. Most of the people in the top 10 are only there because of the hours they have spent on the game. Do the math and most people that average 2:1 ratio would be there too.

Awards for me because the feeling you get from hearing that drum roll while playing makes me all happy :)

The only rank that 'slightly' impresses me is the 1 star general.

This is because that person managed to get all the requirements for a general well before he passed the hour requirement.
