On Wake Island it would definetely have to be at Beach on the roof of the bunker aiming for South Base. Pretty obvious spot but easy to take out targets in the open on both left and right flanks of South Base. Also, great area to take out an enemy who is trying to cap the Beach or spawn raping in the bunker below.

Where-ever I can hide, infact sniper, if used properly, can be the BEST CQB weapon...I dont mean at 2ft I mean 10m to 30m. Like the SVD, I did ALOT of practicing with it, and now it's my RPK.

CQB is up to 10 feet in my book. You mean to say short distance, for a sniper between 0 - 150 meters :)

The best sniping spots are the places where there are lots of those bushes that look 3d at rnage but are 2d up close, they are excellent ebcause i have made shots shooting through the holes in the leaves, and when a chopepr comes looking for me and circle smy general area, i play "chicken" with it so that the bush is always between em and the chopper, combine this with my camoflauge and he ALWAYS gives up and leaves, also when i score a body shot and can't fnsh them off quickly i back up slightly so that im not "in" the bush im completely ehind it so that they cant see me and i caant see them, all they see is a buch, if i dont do this the sniper will zoom in and notice me "in" the bush and kill me, ill lay low for 30-60 seconds until I resume sniping, this is why i like taking shots through the hole sin the bush leaves because even when they zoom in they wont see you through that TINY hole so far away but yo have a great view, this way I can always hit them, but the tactic of backing up is valid for when there is no hole in the leaves of the bush to give you a shot.

my favourite spot is on karkand, when you have the hotel and you look down from rightside outside the arch way at the Square's spawn points. There are about 3 spawn points you have clear view of, and although you will die, if you can pull off some quick shots and your team is distracting them, this works wonder.

Jalalabad on the top of the map as MEC looking over infront of the USA uncap is also good because soldiers always forget to look to their left when running down the the first MEC uncap base.

Shaqi, obviously the crane but its alot of fun maybe doing it once a month, anymore and id rather play CS lol!

for some reason noone looks up and gets me off that crane, even though its SO OBVIOUS i thnim because its obviuos people dont think anyone is up there

The crane would be the first place me and anybody i know looks on Sharqi. It's right in the middle of the battlefield and its so obvious people go up there each round because its nifty and you have a view of most active areas on Sharqi. Good thing though is if you are good with the medic unlock (L8) you can get the headshot on them quite easily, it's difficult though but your more than impressed in yourself by killing somebody who thinks they have the advantage and did have the advantage when they started firing at you and then see them falling to the ground from the top of the crane like a rag doll. One of the most rewarding kills you can get i reckon. Not when your sniper but with something like a medic gun, i know i hardly sound modest but it shows you have some good skills.

On Wake: I like to hide in the bunker by the airstrip. Usually I'll throw up some Claymores in front and behind bunker. If I get killed inside bunker, more often than not, someone trips the claymore. Another spot I like is up on a hill sniping from far away. Really useful for when the team is spawning from a flag and trying to advance.

On Sharqi: I like to go up in the crane, usually I dont get killed right away. Its fun throwing nades onto the construction site or sniping from above them. Another spot I like is on top of one of the trailers at the construction site. Usually the other team just runs by and heads up that hill and then I can pick them off.

My fav is probably on Kubra Dam, close to this big building on the opposite side of the construction site.
