    - Play on an empty server, and practice with a friend.

    - Play on an underpopulated server, and ask somebody on your team to pilot (Most likely another helicopter newbie) for you for a while.

    - Download the Single Playered 64 Map Mod and Single Playered Bot Changer Mod and practice by yourself against bots.

    - Teach yourself through rigorous solo practice on an empty server by using the same routine that solo'ers do. F2, right click, fire, control TV missle, kill with TV missle (Practice on stationary vehicles at a distance of 300m), F1. You'll teach yourself how to pilot and how to gun really quick this way.

The only reason a newbie would want to 'practice' on a full server of 64 players, is because he wants to earn supposedly easy points while he learns the ropes.

Thats an issue about points, not an issue about newbies unable to learn the ropes.

So you're admitting to being a jerk.

QFT Dairuka....theres only so much you can learn by that. And Hirmetrium your not being a jerk, you like me is just pissed off with idiots looking at your rank (surprisingly this sometimes dosent matter) and tk'ing you because apparently they're "more useful" and could "g3t teh w1N 4 t34m". Aside from defying the point of the game for others (having fun) it makes them look like a complete jerk. If they take it that seriously they should go join the airforce....then hopefully get themselves shot so we wouldn't have to put up with them.

I have also tried to stop redlining unless after a few times the player doesn't listen to me trying to help, then I either play something else or redline if I know I could help the team.

Let's all say it together, "UNPOPULATED SERVERS."

I only Tk'd once on purpose, the guy was sitting in the heli not taking off. I jumped in with others and we told him to go....lots of times....he wouldn't take off he just sat there for about 5 mins in the dirver side (he was typing so he was on) so I just head shot him so we could leave the carrier.

I'm pretty bad with a helicopter, and not too great with armor and APCs. So I grab a tank/heli and get some practice when the score is very one-sided. If the score is close and it might make a differene, I leave the vehicles for someone who will better use them. But when you're losing by 150 tickets... let the newer guys get some practice. It's not like a masterful pilot/gunner duo is likely to pull it back to a win.

                        not true

Ive alredy joined a Wake server, US was losing by almost 200 tickets when I hooked up with an awesome helo pilot, we were able to cap out PLA and get the win with only about 25 tickets left, I got the gold and my pilot got a silver

so you never say never until the game ends

Good news Churrasco!!! :P Fun to see that sumones changing his mind about this playing style.
99% of my TKs are accidental or forced and I also rarely punish (unless the other is being whore). Makes me so angry when I get intentianally tked for vehicules that I just cant do it myself. When I see my gunner is a Noob I just try to give him good TV shots and if he sucks at TV then I give him machinegun kills. Depends of the enemy chopper skill too, if I see they skilled then I just leave the noob practicing with sumone else

You're f'ing awesome, and i mean that with full sincerity.

I'd rather lose on a team full of decent people like you rather than win with some prick ace pilot who TKs & hogs the vehicles.

People should just accept that there's not enough helis for everyone all the time, and if you can't have fun on the 4 out of 5 rounds where you're NOT piloting, you probably bought the wrong game. Time to buy a flight simulator instead.

well check this out, I played in single player and practiced with friends in local servers and now I can gun and fly the chopper, what do you expect your pilot to do??

give you lessons while you are being attacked from every side?

learn by observing others and by doing some basic practices, **** I learned spanish just by watching latino TV shows
