Basically roll left 45 degrees and hold it, while giving it full right rudder, and then use the Y axis to control how tight the circle is, and vice versa.

Hard to explain, you just need to get a feel for it.

thanks for the vid mg, that helped me alot actually

I was always trying to do it going forward sorta and always over flew the circle with the enemy ending up behind me LOL

thats one of the things I've changed about flying a helo is when attacking, instead of coming direct at a target, go to one side starting a circle. that way if you need to you can circle or change direction in a shorter amount of time if a 2nd strafe run is needed. going head on at a target usually makes you pass it and doubles the time needed to gain inertia / momentum back to the target.

        Good point.

Strafing in either direction is usually preferable to moving directly at your intended target. Depending on what your attacking, it's usually better to maintain a specific distance to minimize damage to your chop chop...

It's not hard to do the circle of death with a mouse. I've never tried joysticks, but I think the mouse is perfect for heli flying.

one of the most fun things to do in a chopper, especially if your chopper is at 90 degrees
