    Re: Redlining: NO

show that you can gun and you wont be redlined, if u cant gun and ur pilot doesnt even give you a chance then dont complain, hes useless with you as his gunner, if you know you can gun and still get redlined then swich teams and show them whos the boss

a few days ago I get in with some guy and he tells me to bail out, Im like why??

he said: "I was soloing so far and I dont need a gunner, I play in cal and twl and i can do it my self"

    but guess what

he sucked big time, join chopper servers like DMOC and see how chopper whores play

I made a post a while back saying i approved of redlining, but i recently discovered how dumb i am and i figured out exactly what it meant. So, my apologies for supporting redlining, its stupid. If you have a gunner already, go into the battlefield regardless of who it is. I do not support it. It's stupid, and when its done to you it sucks. Just to clear things up, i'm fine with soloing, but redlining is one step too far.
GOD BLESS YOUThis has happened too many times, and i toatally agree that you should NOT REDLINE

thats the thing....there are many points.....some ppl just agree with different ones....

both sides can be right....thats why different servers have different rules...

redlining on the other hand is a completely different issue altogether.....its just the same as an outright TK

            Re: Redlining: NEIN

I actually didn't think that was possible because I thought the vehicles had one common point that would cause all players in the vehicle to be out of bounds. Then a while ago I saw a message in game saying that you'd be banned for doing this. So I just assumed it was taking players to the out of bounds area. I haven't ever had it happen to me, nor have I done it to others.

            *sigh*

To the rest of you guys, it's BF2, what do you (seriously) expect? Smacks to noobs, including every kind of player in between.

              Re: Redlining: NO

Ive only been redlined once...I wasnt even given a chance to gun. Im no Heli gunner god..but it doesnt take a genius to figure out what and how to do it.
Yet you'll still see guys who cannon everything, dont "guide" the TV, or dont do anything at all.
Downside is its kind of hard to practice much in air vehicles since single player doesnt cater to it.

I myself would never redline, I usually figure out whats gonna happen with the gunner on are first pass over the battle. If he sucks I just bail out over a flag and do something else. Im no plane, heli, infantry, tank, etc.. master...but I can do everything the game offers me effectively, so I just turn a negative situation (me with a worthless gunner) into a positive one (grab a tank, kill some peeps in CQC). Considering how many matches Ive played and how many more Ill play in the next year or two I cant fathom ever actually wasting my time in such a manner.

ya some *** tried redlining me one time, but we were both medic....lol

took him so long he kept bringing me back in bounds cuz he couldnt hold me there long enough.....i laughed at him and told him he sucked......so he tried one of those intentional crashes, and bailed out.....i was able to regain control and i crashed it right into his empty head kamakazee style.....lmfao.....:p

Well said. There are some vehicle whores who feel they MUST play that and won't accept anything else. God forbid you have to pick up a gun and fight on the ground.

If you're getting redlined, it usually means the person asked you to get out and you insisted on being an *** hole and staying in the vehicle. If someone asks you to get out, do it, espicially if you're a total noob.

I also give the guy a chance....but if say we go to confront the opposing attack chopper and he just starts rattling the machine gun button whilst I have to somersault around like feck to avoid being blown apart by enemy choppers tvg missiles, then I will bounce/hop/limp back to base, land, refuel, and then start trying to tell him the technique involved for using tvg....

if he dont respond or dont listen or just cant read english...then yup....redline the fukker everytime, and go and get someone decent.

Yeah, but what if your not a noob and you know what your doing, yet the guy still doesnt give you the chance. I totally understand why they want to gun...for the kills and points. Even telling the guy I would fly and he could gun wasnt good enough for him. Its proof that 'some' solers are the a$$es, not me because I stay in a vehicle he insists I leave.

These soloing threads are useless as the guys that redline are so hung up on themseleves that they cannot see any other point of view other than their own.
