but between those two, CoH is the way to go.

Wasted 55€. It's incredibly hard...Even in the normal mode when you are with the side of nod it's 2 damn difficult...

You're joking? I sailed through the missions in hard mode.

Now, CoH and Supreme Commander, those were absolute bitches. Particularly CoH throughout, and SupCom at the last levels.

I think the original C&C hit the RTS nail on the head when they made it so the AI pounded you when your resources were down, presented a real challenge trying to get back up.

My fav is CoH, everybody said: oh no, not again WW2 but I question myself when we had the last really great RTS with basebuilding? I don't know any.

plus opposing fronts is coming out next,coh was just the precursor ans was more of a "test" game,if coh is just theier "test" wait for opposing fronts!

Really? I found all 3 campaigns pretty easy to deal with in medium.

If he finds it hard, more power to him. One of the things I've found is that the harder a SP game is, the more fun you get out of it.

I LOVE C&C 3... I've had it since the begging and I'm hooked. Yes, you can call me a fanboy. Don't get me wrong, CoH is great and I love the realism. I think I just like C&C more because I've played it for many years and love the series.

If he finds it hard, more power to him. One of the things I've found is that the harder a SP game is, the more fun you get out of it.

Agreed that's why I am playing it on hard difficulty now, much more challenging and I have failed the odd mission or 2. More enjoyable when you have to balance priorities against bonus missions.

Yeah, because like a 3 hour campaign will get boring easy. An almost 29 hour campaign will have new things to discover everytime, not to mention lots of gameplay.



CoH is just way better. It blow every other RTS outta the water. i dont know if I can say this, but I have the WiC beta and coh still wins!

IF CnC had the same game mechanics (squad tactics, covering system, etc), or atleast something similiar to it, not just the old throw-****loads-of-units-at-your-enemy-and-see-who-wins-,-at-the-same-time-flank-em-with-tanks, it would so much more awesome.
I haven`t played the new CnC but from the vids it seemed to have the same gameplay as previous titles.

CoH really captured the "realness" of the units.. I dunno about anyone else, but I CARED when my guys were say "Oh S***, we're being flanked!" or whatever. I didn't want to lose them, I wanted them to live! With SupCom.. I would just pump out more and more and more units. I didn't care about the individual unit.

I think it might just come down to what kind of scale you like.. some people like micro, some macro. /shrug
