COH is a nanomanagement game, supreme commander = macromanagement. Time for a change, considering we've had f*cking 10 years of micro games since the first C&C came out on a macro level.
SUPREME COMMANDER is futuristic, CoH is WW2, CoH pwns
I never understood this argument. If you prefer WWII over a futuristic setting, more power to you. But setting does not generally have much to do with gameplay.
In fact, Chris Taylor, the project leader of SUPREME COMMANDER, has repeatedly said that most of the combat and tactics is based on WWII tactics and scenarios. There are obvious exceptions such as nuclear weapons, but the navy and air force behave much like WWII fighters and battleships in that except for a few specialized units, there are no missiles.
Ask yourself this, if SUPREME COMMANDER was set in WWII (which honestly would not change much in terms of gameplay), would you play it?
COH has some really good parts to it such as the havok engine and such but i just dont find it relaxing like with other RTS's im always trying to do 1000 things at once as the frontline shifts to much and theres too many individual battles in in skirmish and MP modes going on all the time
one other thing that really annoys me about it is the whole "rock paper scissors" thing it just leads to too much micromanagement for the player
plus id like things on a huge scale such as in the total war series and Sup Com it just seems more epic than contorlling a small platoon of men all the time
So to answer your question id buy neither id look for a real RTS such as these two

Why do you put it in supreme commander on bold all the time.
I'm a big fan of Company of Heroes personally and I have tried the C&C3 demo, just wasn't my style. Units build uber fast so it's just like whore units all over the place. But still nothing compares to my Starcraft.
I played the C&C3 demo too. I got a bit dissapointed because i was hoping that they would have followed the development of rts games and changed their way of playing. But no... It dosent really seem to be anything new except better graphics. Not even all units are new! :)
I already have Company of Heroes. It is a wonderful game! The physics are indeed VERY good and its all about strategy! Its not like C&C3 when you just quickly pump out units ,that look more like plastic toys than real soldiers and vehicles, and rush to the front have the biggest lump of units kill the other and then thats it. In CoH you put out machine gunner nests in good positions, build hedgerow, tank traps, mines and plant bombs on bridges. You garrison infantry units in buildings, sneak camoflauged snipers behind enemy lines, drop artiller, fire v2 rockets, fight tank battles, have planes flying past and shooting people on the ground (sometimes crashing and becoming scenery of the map!), flank, paradrop, send elite squads and create elite squads. It's all in the best graphics and you even have the ability to zoom in so much that you can watch garrisoned soldiers shooting out through the windows of the house from INSIDE the house they are in! Also CoH was elected the best online game of 2006 by swedish PCGamer! Runner up was bf2142! =)
Go and buy this game now and i'll take you on online, Comprende!
No it sounds kinda gay actually... Sounds like it's trying to hard to sound big. And it also sounds like an imported game from japan that got the translating wrong.. all you base are belong to us.
