    Re: Question On Skill Level

    I took the honorable route.

if you dont belive me a few of you may remeber my post about those who whip out a pistol during a good old fashioned bunnyhopping knife fight or when someone else SEES a knife fight and decides to step in.

Well I do. Lol. My friend and I scrim together with random clans for CAL(in 1.6 too, and I do it by myself in Source since he doesn't own it). Add me to your Friends on Steam, prototypeofsorts, and join up whenever.

I always try to go for the challenge.
If I see stacking Im the first (and usually only) to jump to the other side.
Im the idiot that you also see using a pump shotty on a medic filled Karkand IO map.

I love owning people. I love sniping 10 people down in quick sucession with headshots, I love blasting enemy jets out of the sky, I love turning around a corner and popping some guy in the face with a 3-shot burst....

I like a challenge every now and then, and it would get boring winning all the time without ever having somebody make you stay on your toes. However, I usually view the challenge as something that will make me better, and able to more effectively own people

Speaking of which, I think I need to spend some more time dogfighting with metallica :p I view a challenge like that as something to learn from more than something to try to win. My first time flying against him he shot me down like 7-8 times and I didn't touch him (I think I might have landed 1 missle  ), but I learned enough from that fight to be able to shoot down 95% of the pilots I run into on pubs with ease.

I do also love those close games where everyone is working together, and frantically defending and capping flags.

However, I think maybe I'm just not at the point where I start looking for a challenge yet. I usually have an average score in the middle of the pack (though lately I've been finishing 4-5ish overall almost every round, since I switched from playing sniper to medic ), and am not over the initial thrill of owning people.

I'm sure once you start to get up to like 100 hours or so you get bored of pubbing all the time and start seeking out new opportunities to test your skills. For now though, I'll enjoy owning noobs as much as possible (more often getting owned myself, but hey )
