Saying you can not use a joystick calibration program is like saying you can't use a G3-G7 mouse, because the extra buttons require a third party program provided by the manufacturer to function properly.

Macros play the game for you. Calibrating your joystick only fine tunes your joystick to your own specifications.

I could give a fvcking rats a$$ if you use a tweak for your joystick, I was just asking a fvcking question that was a hot topic of discussion in a previous thread about 3rd party software
you adjust the sensitivity for your stick however you see fit

as for the crosshair tweak your using.........your changing the game itself to center the crosshair?? in a sense it gives you an unfair advantage over someone that DOESNT even know that the tweak exists, why cant you play BF2 the way it was made (as poorly as it was)
if the crosshairs are off for you then they are off for everyone else.....which means a level playing field
hell that goes for everything your using, if nobody used them then its a level playing field, but since there are folks like you using tweaks to give you a slight advantage, then there are hackers using cheats to even the playing field with guys like you

No, you guys were asking a question with a subtle hint that Im using a third party software and am basically cheating in one form or the other. It would be fine, if you had any idea what you were talking about. Becuase if you would, you wouldnt come up with that suggestion/question in the first place. I do not appreciate that.

You guys have fallen into the dance which has been danced here since ages ago, that every third party program running with the game is "giving you an unfair advantage" over the others. Some have gone to such lenghts as calling TS Overlay as such a program.

This is one of such cases. You dont know what the fvck Im talking about and you come up with a wild and STUPID suggestion that Im altering the game to have an advantage. Even though a rational, intelligent human being, above the monkeys on an evolution ladder would conclude that the software simply draws a crosshair onto the true center of the screen and functions independently from the game.

In simplier form- it just sticks a crosshair into the true center of the screen, be there BF2 running, or your favourite, quality Japanese midget porn.

Of course it does, has anyone denied that? Hell, even my ATItool software is an unfair advantage, because those poor bastards cannot hide in the shadows anymore. And then of course I have my trusty Winamp that fueles me with adrenaline so I can kill them faster. Hell, Im actually using cocaine while I play, talk about unfair advantage.

I refuse to play the game in the way that its hurting myself, when I know that at 800X600, the central marks are so far off the base, that its not even funny. Every pixel counts, and most crosshair are FUBAR.

Then we have people who are playing with a higher resolution, and for them the crosshair deviation is in such a level where it doesnt hurt the aiming perfomance either at all, or not nearly in the level it hurts me. In a sense, Im leveling up the playing field. But if you think its a "miracle drug" so that I own like a pro, youre hardly mistaken. If I get 2:1 KDR on land, Im doing real good. All it does, is help me to get the most accurate shots at longer distances. Thats all.

My standard BF2 gaming bundle consists of-

1. DXTweak2 profile selection to suit my flight style- hack? Not really, you can use any acceptable joystick profile out there and it wont be called a cheat. Right now, fact is that you have no idea what the fark that thing does, so you are eager to lable it as hacking, or an unfair advantage. Youre going to laugh yourself to bits if you tried this software yourself. In a sense, youre representing the racist type of people for not knowing that coloured people are no different than you, so you just take out your shotgun.

2. 2 sets of JoyToKey programs, to make it so one of my JS keys triggers both Q and left mouse so its a one-click-spotter, and to bind joystick axi so that I can use youstick as a mouse look tool.

3. ATItool, with hotkeys assigned to increase/decrease gamma level, to suit for my eyes and level out the shadows in various maps with various conditions.

There are a few others. Now, if you apply reasonable approach to it, than you can see that all these programs do, is leveling out the lacks and bugs for me in the game. So if youre saying that its not fair when it comes to others, I say tough luck, because all they have to do is google. And Im sure youre listening to music while you play, right? Thats a third party program right there.

My main point however is, youre an ignorant fool from the moment you jumped the "its a 3rd party program OMFG HAXXOR!" gun. The problem with 3rd party program most people have is that they substitute in some way or another, for persons skill. Id like to see where any of the abovementioned utilities would substitute for it. If anything, I wont burn my eyes out in Dragon Valley, and I dont have to use glasses in OCS.

Go ahead and call me "hacker!!!", from this point on Im probably just going to grin.

Yikes, so much anger I thought I made it clear that I WASN'T accusing you of anything. I would use it too if I had a joystick. I was just asking if "technically speaking", is it a 3rd party program by definition of the word. Again, Im not calling you a hacker/cheater AT ALL. It was just a thought.......

And the question you asked had an obvious undertone that you dislike 3rd party software and you consider them as cheating, the fact that you listed the programs you do NOT use, proves my point. The fact that you dont know what those programs do, yet already took your stance on the subject, proves that I took the right stance by being defensive.

lol i like to be relaxed when playing bf2 other wise i tend to shout things when i get rammed or die. My family don't like "**** OFF YA TWAT AND STOP BEING A TARD" when i get t'killed or jet blocked.

quite the contrary, I ACTUALLY like 3rd party programs that you use for your hardware and dont think they are cheats at all, thats why I was looing for an INTELLIGENT response from you to use as a defense
