Why do you say dont buy Saitek? I was going to get the Evo (not Force), is there anything I should know?

ph1l i had the same layout for the POV, but i couldn't memorize it, and it was too cluttered and confusing, so now i just use up for cockpit and down for chase rear.

very interesting layouts guys, that evo looks really cluttered, i cant see myself using it. And for those who use button 3 on the logitech extreme 3d pro for missiles is interesting too, keeps your thumb close to the other buttons. Anyway i like my layout the best, maybe because i am used to it.

Im wondering though is the 3dpro the most used stick? WHY? theres gotta be a better budget stick out there, i got my eye on the saitek aviator, anyone got it? My logitech is all loose around the center, so i can't really shoot precisely with the cannon. I love the button layout though, i just hate the software.

you know jonezen, i know a you can eliminate using button 9 to activate POV, instead u can just use the pov and it automatically looks around. Just run 2 joy 2 keys, make 2 configs, and while pov up is look up and left is look left etc etc.. make the second config making each POV press Ctrl, but u must be running 2 joy2keys to make it work. Kinda complicated but works like a charm, but i personally dont use it.

                    Re: Your Joystick Button Layout

Seems like a lot of you guys use the same joystick as me - huzzah!

My setup is almost identical to the OP's (I switched afterburners and weapon switch).

However, I have a button for vent and one for teamspeak on the base of my joystick :) It's too much of a pain to grab the mouse for my to-speak button, so I mapped one to the joystick too. Works like a charm.

Hey Neptue I figured it out. I had to edit the joy2key ini to allow multi loading. Thanks for the tip!

This is my actual joystick (Top Gun Afterburner woo woo) and layout detailing what each control really is in my experience.

Lol, typo... I meant: He was asking a really stupid question - "what's a joystick" and told him to think by himself, why post a reply about that.
