Would you still be playing BF2?

Seems everyone is nuts over these flying machines, and forsaking victories by staying in their uncaps and fighting over them.

You can see this on pretty much every air map available. The team that loses is the team that sits in the uncaps (or chopper bases) fighting over them.

There's a reason I don't fly much in BF2. It's not because I can't, I just don't want to have to fight with others in order to grab a plane. Being polite won't get you one, so you have to be the bigger man and let the asshats pretty much steal them from you.. No thanks. I'd rather groundpound then.

Well it would shorten the lifespan for me.

I see helis and jets as just an alterantive as to when I get tired of pwning in infantry combat .

Atleast baserape would be less common.

Hell ya I love the RPK I don't really care if there is no jets or helis or any of that. When I am MEC I got RPK and AK-101 for Assualt. I usally beat all the medic whores on my team to. If there were no jets or helis I think that everyone would play on karkand and sharqi and I don't know what metalica (SP) would do since he is one of the better air people out there.

I like this game for the variety and the challenge the vehicles add.

If I wanted 100% ground-pounding, Ghost Recon or even AA is better.

If I wanted air only, there are many better combat flight sims.

Yes, air assets are the most "unrealistic" area of BF. I like them though, but I wouldn't care if they were just bots or something you can call with radio.

If they made the sprint longer or maps smaller I would still play. The problem I have is wasting time running around a huge map like Kubra, thats why I like the chopper or planes.

Kind of detracts from a modern combat experience really, I would still play it but probably for not as long.
