I used to love the toob (65% accuracy) got quite good over long distance (100m+) DPV and FAV's used to be 1 hit wonders. Then they adjusted the minimum arming distance (which they publicised) which wasn't so bad. However, i felt the trajectory was altered also (unpublicised) which made it a lot less predictable (imo). Have not used it since although it seems to be making a resurgence may have to check it out again

yeah no joke, on karkand if u come donw that first alley that leads to the hotel, throw in a flashbang, then get the gl and just rip them up... easy as pie

I played with it today on Karkand, and normally i would not use it as a noob tuber, but in all honesty if youve just fire it and someone comes around the corner the natural reaction is to fire at the floor. Some one called me a noob tuber so i decided to wage a vendetta against them, everytime i met them, i would GL them. Thats not purposely being a noob tuber, just being really annoyed at the fact he called me that

Well, I will counter that back in the day, it was a "*****" weapon. Because of the tactic employed while firing at close range. Now, the true n00b weapon is a claymore with FF off and used like a assault tool.

Back when, The noob tube IMO was fine, but it was a slight problem on bigger, city map servers. Bigger maps were fine, since there were more vehicles then a tank that camps alleyway, people were anti-tank/engie/etc.

i found another one of those servers. this is one of the scrolling rules... "STRICTLY DO NOT USE CLAYMORES AND GRENADE LAUNCHERS"

i immediately assumed it was run by 9 year olds when i saw their server info in the bottom left corner of the loading page (whatever you want to call it)

it said something along the lines of "ONE CLAYMORE= PERNAMENT BAN"

the horrifying spelling just backed up my theory.

If its there server, they deserve to seT your own rules, and its not like people are going to climb up the leaderboards for not getting killed by a claymore...

Yeah, that is true, they are paying for it, so if they don't want what they consider gheyness, it is up to them.

i was going to, but i noticed that there were no admins there, so i whipped out my GL and started killin people. the opposition, to counter that, whipped out some of the most over-used phrases , such as "ADMIN ADMIN KICK WILLIN" or "HEY GUYS IS THERE AN ADMIN HERE? WILLIN USED A GL WHAT A NOOB LOL RIGHT?"

I remember I only had a quick taste of jumping & GLing before the 1.2 patch came out and stopped it all, was so fun IIRC, guy comes round alley in front of you? Jump, fire right at your feet and you get away with a bit of health left, fun. The splash was cool too.

People who say they've turned the GL useless just probably don't know how to aim it, can't put it to proper use

I have never really used the GL, and when I did i couldn't get used to it, but between that and a random claymore I have developed permanant ticks and paranoia while playing on maps They show up in the worst places. Damn you GL and Claymore

The GL is useful, Its just that stupid 30 min delay when you click your mouse >_<
