Re: Team mates giving away my position

LMAO..sorry dudes..im guilty of that when I play support lol but I usually just throw it where you can get it cuz im not climing up there to give you ammo you can get it yourself lol. When I snipe Im usually moving from one spot to another so its never a problem. I just hate it when im about to take a flag and im surrounded and out numbered by fresh spawners moving out and im waiting for them to leave and the guy next to me opens up and they all turn around and light us up. You dont have to shoot everything everytime.

I usually create a squad if I'm sniping, but only if there are not many squads already of course. My reasoning is, I'm usually behind enemy lines, so in the case we lose too many flags, people can still spawn on me, and cap rear, less defended flags. Nobody ever does that though, even though I shout out to the team chat. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't want to cap the flags myself, but I find it more beneficial to the team that I remain as a hidden spawnpoint. Me running rambo = me dead sooner or later. lol. Then the whole team gets boxed in and spawn raped.

There is a point to this thread.

Even in normal combat situations, when you spawn on your SL, get the hell away from him. So many times squadmates spawn on me hiding behind a building or something near the enemy flag, and they just start shooting towards the objective or they hang around trying to use my position as a fire base. Its a quick way to lose your forward spawn point.

Thank you I forgot about that one. I'll lay there because I'm in a bit of a pickle trying not to be seen. Next thing Kevin McNoob comes and lays next to me and starts firing off, at an other wise clueless squad, on there way to a fight.

              BLAM! I'm dead.

Use the Manage Squad menu ingame and invite people into your squad which have a decent score or a high rank. You probably wind up having a couple of spawners that know what to do.

Give away my position (or teamkill my squadmembers) and you`ll get kicked out of my squad. It`s that easy!

Move to another position? If you're the long range, stealthy type of sniper you really should move to another position if you get spotted.

Re: Team mates giving away my position

Right this is my first complaint about people on my team. I play sniper alot and try to keep myself as hidden as possible. I'll do this mainly by staying away from obvious high positions if possible.

Any way, I am now becoming more aware of how some people will, for some reason, stand right next to me in full view of everyone. This will in turn get the attention of the opposing team members, who not only see Mr 'I'm over here' but also see me.

Don't get me wrong, if it's a medic and I'm in need of fixing or support resupplying me, fair enough. However, as for the rest, please go elsewhere and ask yourselfs why you are in a place where you are so limited to what you can do.
                            Knife them.

heh, I'm one of those smart medics.. When I see wounded sniper, I lay near him and wait until their heath is full again. I'm not throwing medpacks all around snipers. Smartie I Am, I know
Waste of time. Throw out 1 and leave. If somebody close by hears your "First Aid here" or sees the medpack, tough luck. Besides if you lay near him you mess up his fency guile suit or whatever it's called.

It's your job as Sl to move at another position. Your members run out for the flag and you go to another location and regroup with fresh spawned soldiers. It's a good way also to draw attention away from the flag or to flank the enemy.

But yeah sometimes they can really give away your position. But you should hold strong as a squad. Full squad can hold off every single threat I believe. Wouldn't hurt to have 1 dedicated AT guy in your squad either. Anyway you need to keep moving or you got artillery blasting on your head. Best thing also is to wait till everybody is with the SL and then fully charge the flag at same time. I don't rely on SL hiding somewhere to be a forward spawn. That's just too passive but he shoudn't be the first one going in enemy zone either. It's a mix which requires SL to survive, surpress the enemy, fall back , defend , stealth.

Managing a squad to keep their assets destroyed while they try to stop us with half of their team in Gulf Of Oman. I realised what squads are capable of. Artillery is the only thing that can stop a good squad. But even that can be very easy avoided. In city maps you always hear the enemy artillery launching cos of the layouts. And in large maps squads can move up way quicker. Anyway squads barely get used well or the majority likes to lone wolve.

And about the medic and support throwing bags at sniper. I'm happy with that cos everytime I need them I would need to leave my spot. Plus the bags can not be seen by far distances. If they are seen then you more in a combat position and not really in a snipe spot.
