i don't think so. UNLESS they are on TS/Ventrillo, and even still thinking is still not instant. there is simply NO way for them too see everything the other sees unless their brains are linked, and it causes frustration for Both of them, unless you corner the enemy at a flag and base rape the $hit out of them no gunner/pilot combo can outdo a Pro soloer. its cake to go on a vertical dive bust off a TV on a tank switch back to pilot and fly off if you rare decent. see... not many soloers are (really) pro, so they figure if they cannot down everything in site on the map then noone can, a good soloer can keep every single piece of armour/pig/attack chopper from doing anything leaving the map free for your troops to take over. don't say i don't know what i am talking about, feel free to check my heli stats, don't get me wrong i love flying chopper with others that have a clue, but we get wasted 2 times as fast regardless of skill. PS its easier to take out a jet solo. how many pilots line you up for impossible shots that you (knew) you could make

So? Pilot/Gunner combos have an easier time killing infantry; thus don't have to rely almost entirely on their TV-missles for their kills. That really does add up after a while. Thats why a 36-0 kill/death ratio as a solo'er is much more impressive than a 70-0 kill/death ratio as a gunner with a good pilot.

Considering all I do is pilot, I don't believe that it is all that unbelievable to think that some pilots are actually competant.

Why? Because I've led my buddies to 50 K/D ratios on stages like Operation Clean Sweep, Fushe Pass, and Daqing Oilfields. (Stages where you can't base-rape the hotel, or carrier.)

Given the fact that I only have like 10 hours in a chopper, that should be a testament that if I can do it... most certainly there are at least a thosuand other pilots out there who can do it too. Especially when there are pilots out there with hundreds of hours of experience.

I have a round in a jet recorded (currently trying to compress it), and it shows how I use the map and how I have extreme alertness of my surroundings..

In the round I take out about 20 infantry in random places all over the map just by looking at UAV/commander spots/my spots. If you were on the ground it would look like a hacker flying, but it's not. Let's just say i'll name the video advanced ground raping.. LOL

ah, the 'E' button, happens alot when u seatswitch, when u are frantically pressing f1 and f2 and when u thought that ur fingers are on 'w', but instead its on 'e'.

one thing i'm curious though, u can still hit those choppers a few times by shooting them at the nose. as for me, the missiles just seem to pass through....

*some* pilot/gunners have an easier time killing infantry, unless your a very fluid pilot your gunner will have a heck of a time taking out infantry without the MEC pig, whereas if your turning left to right at a steady motion you can account for sudden movement/hitboxes and take out infantry instantly. like i said, if you cannot do it, its easy to *justify* for you.

your argument relies on soloing. i can be alert all i wan't but if the gunner is not on the same page it does not help, IE i'm spotting the chopper and hes trying to Tv a tank that he cannot hit because i am facing chopper.

as have I, very *few* buddies, but consistently led myself solo to 70/80 and 0 if they are not on.

with 10 hours if pilot time you say you consistently lead your *buddies* to those streaks which means you don't pub in the choppers much, i love flying with my clan buddies (a few of them) but most are not on at night when i get off work

bottom line, if you fly with me and we live up to at least 2/1 kdr i will continue, if you don't i will just bail and ground pound, but with all the good up and coming jet pilots (or noob J10 whores that ram you after the 7th pass of trying to gun you down) it is pretty hard to find a pilot that knows how to survive, (jet missles rarely hit when your banking at least 40 degrees, or they are right on top of you)

I was just playing for the past couple hours.. my internet has been OFF the past week because timewarner is switching to comcast where i'm at..

Yeah.. well the internet came back on and now i'm having crazy packet loss. So every time I try to TV missle, i'll click, and one second later the missle reacts. Yes it is a bug, but not in my case because it is happening EVERY time I try to gun. I'll just have to wait until monday when the merge is complete and my internet is stable again.

I was on R2's server and I was getting problem with my connection every minute or so.. and you know how good that goes with jets.. yeah... you'll just be flying, problem with your connection.. BAM you are dead when it goes away.

The ping spikes up to 600 were a nice touch too.

I have to admit, it is easier to solo than I realized.

The trick is to hit the buttons consecutively, so that you fire the TV missle immediately after you switch. I kind of figured that out after watching Churra.

I may look like a newbie in a helicopter now, but give me a week or two, now that I know what I know. I just pulled 43 kills and 9 deaths solo at Daqing Oilfields.

i can easily give a gunner 80-100 kills per round, if they are good then they will hit eeverything i give them. if they are crap... then they wouldnt be in my helo. so i dont really understand why your trying to say they would not kill things i give them when i put them in the tv screen.

Ok you can do it, but it's not easy... still hard.


It's easier if you are on china, and people are coming at you.. then you just camera everything.. but if you are on the attacking team, like the US.. It will be really hard to do that unless the pilots on the other team (jets) are completely retarded.. if there is at least one good pilot I can guaruntee that it won't be "easy"
