LOL, every guy who has ever redlined me has eventually ended up dropping the chopper or leaving the server. I hate it when its done to me. At least have the balls to talk to me and ask me to leave, nicely. I will do so, if youre good...

perhaps you were hindering the team and he didn't feel like dealing with it anymore? There are two sides to the story.

again Sloi, you have proved to be an ***.. stats dont mean everything. As i have said before in another thread, you have as much of a right as anyone in the server to be in the helicopter, pilot or gunner. If the other person doesnt like it then that is there problem. This game is all about teamwork and some people just dont get that. I would like to see people who redline get their stats reset or something because that is just wrong.

Redlining doesn't get your stats reset, though I suspect it wouldn't make much of a difference to someone intent on soloing, no matter the cost. The circumstances of your redlining would be interesting to have as well... perhaps you were hindering the team and he didn't feel like dealing with it anymore? There are two sides to the story.

If he didn't give you a chance, and then just redlined you i would be pissed, but if he gave you countless oppurtunities and you were suking real bad, didn't get out when he asked you to (politely), then i don't blame him, as hindering the team is worse than redlining IMHO...singleplayer is for learning the basics of gunning...

what makes people think they have a right to redline??? We all purchased the same game and have the same rights to use them. If somebody sucks, they suck. Nothing you can do about it. And in turn you end up being a jack face because you tk somebody and prevent them from playing and enjoying themselves.

ive only been attempted to be redlined once(i was a medic). guess thats the beauty of having the shiny ranks. but as i was heading for my expert chopper i found more and more retarded gunners. mg'ing jets while im lining you up for the stinger/tank/chopper will not win you any cookies in my book, and i will fly like a retarded emo kid spamming bail out until you do so.

so in short i agree with sloi. if you suck, there are plenty of other faster ways for you to get killed in this game. dont make up reasons why you have to drag the good players down with you.

ok ppl.....there is no justification for TK, force TK, or OOB punish (redlining)

we all bought the same game, and all have equal rights to each and every aspect of it as intended per EA via ROE...

if i can take a noob gunner around for a couple of rounds then anyone can......grow up and stop being such a selfish greedy retard......learn some basic social skills......learn to share.....and.....if you dont like it, then try one of the other countless things you can do in this game or buy a heli flight and/or combat simulator and stop ruining other ppls time in this game........

again......ive taken useless gunners with me for rounds at a time and i havent thrown a selfish hissy fit, or tried to kill them......and ill still take them with me rather than fly solo because its the decent thing to do......and im not some greedy jackass......i also know this is only a game....not my whole life....unlike some of these whining douches who try to justify greedy heli-whore antics

You're far more patient than many of us, Alpha. I used to fly people around, simultaneously giving them hints and tips to get better: a whopping 5% actually made an attempt to improve... with the others continuing their stupid armor MGing.

You will get to a point where you have to ask "is it really worth it?", "am I wasting my/the team's time?", "couldn't I be a lot more efficient alone, if only I could get rid of 'em?", etc...

For 2/3 of my heli time, I flew people around: most of which were random pub players... so I gave people plenty of chances. It just so happens they ended up disappointing me more often than not, and I'm not very patient when it comes to incompetence. Eventually, you learn to depend solely on yourself.

Just the other side of the coin... *shrug*

Yah, happened to me before. Was on Smoke Screen and hopped in as gunner, some fool was pilot and he was telling me to bail out but it was because their was a Colonel near and he thought that cuz hes the highest rank. He was going to redline me, I told the fool I could gun but luckily an enemy heli came over, I spotted it, he turned round and I TV'd it. Even next round he proceeded to fly over to me and tell me to hop in.

Point is, Don't judge someone on rank or whatever. I can see the difference if its a clan buddy or just a buddy.

Erm...when did i once condone redlining or tking for the chopper in the above post? plz quote the exact phrase.

What i actually implied was that it was just as selfish to hog a valubale asset of the team you cannot use atall when someone else far more competent could,.(i didn't say they still couldn't use it, just that it is selfish? understand now? or should i explain a 3rd time?)

That guy, the last time I played with him, is no more than average, but he thinks he's good and has the right to redline whoever he wants to. He and his friend Qc*Johnz or something like that.
