thats cus theyve been around a bit longer and its not necisarily true. besides, many of them dont and never have had a large military (switzerland, luxembourg, belgium, the netherlands etc.) because they arent war mongers. countries with large militaries start wars.

weve had quite a few.... french and indian war (doesnt really count cus it was before the revolution), revolutionary war, war of 1812, mexican-american war, civil war, spanish-american war, ww1, ww2, korean war, vietnam war, first gulf war, iraq war. not to mention all of our police actions that dont count as wars like the time we invaded nicaragua or when we helped osama bin laden fight the soviets and when we invaded somalia and took part in the famed battle of mogadishu (the movie blackhawk down was based on it). im sure i left out some wars and there are tons of more non official fights that we took part in.

Now NASCAR. You gotta know where to sit for each track. I mainly only go to the Dover Raceway in Dover, DE, cause it was about half hour from where I lived. Right there, you sit in front of the entrance to the pits(being as it is the hardest pit to get in to compared to any other NASCAR track). The last time I watched, I was right in front of 4 major accidents.

                          But either way...I played BF2.

BF2. If it would be any major soccer game I'd have watched it.

                              Re: bf2 or superbowl?

Back when I had more time, and lived in the childhood home, we always played soccer with friends. Almost every night. You see, I could play 4-6 hours of it, no pauses, and still go to the lake and have a long nice swim.

Then we tried American football once, picked up a 100 yard field, and started playing by our own rules (we only knew that teams had to take the ball to X line, and that violence was OK). We were all 16-22, and after just 1 hour, we were all fvcking wasted. We never finished the 2nd hour. After that sh!t my feet hurt for 3 days.

While soccer can be beautiful, American football will always have a place in my mind as one of the toughest games Ive ever played.

yeah, since they do that... they take time outs when they see something in the offense/ defense that would lead to them getting owned.

yeah, since that happens too.and since when does a pinky toe mean you bruised your leg? the only time people come out of the game is when they get laid out running at full speed and are borderline unconscious or when 6 300 pound guys fall on top of their bodies, forcing them to twist and turn, breaking bones. dont try to say socccer is more manly.

                                1. nice stereotyping on both posts though.
